After two bad experiences with other lawyers I found Ms. Groce through Avvo. I read her reviews and decided to have a consultation. I was pleased with her professionalism and honesty. My case (enforcement of divorce decree - child's passport provision) was very easy but I needed someone who would have the time and experience to take it. I hired Ms. Groce in May hoping my case would get a hearing before my traveling dates (late June). Unfortunately, and mainly because of the court having too many cases, we could not get a hearing on time and I could not travel BUT Ms. Groce did try, she asked me to write an affidavit that she corrected and filed to try to get an emergency hearing (but the judge did not grant it). During my case I was mainly in communication with her paralegal, Allison Fisher, who did a good job on keeping me informed about my case, and the only other time I saw Ms. Groce was in court the day of our hearing. She talked to the other party's lawyer and after a couple of back and forward, we settled it with an agreement. We did not need to have the hearing and all in all I think it was best to get to that agreement instead of fighting. The judge appreciate us (me and the other party) working things out and I felt Ms. Groce was very prepared for the hearing in case we had to. I did not give 5 stars to responsive because there is no 4 1/2 stars (they were a couple of occasions where I felt things could have been responded more promptly). The paperwork afterwards was taken care of and her fees are very reasonable. Therefore, I RECOMMEND MS. GROCE and congratulate her and Allison for changing the "ugly" face that so far lawyers had in my mind/experience. I hope I will never have to need her services again, but if I do I absolutely will hire her.

I had the best attorney ever! The situation I was in was very hard. Mrs. Grose kept in informed, hit every point right one the head. She for evidence that blew the other party's testimony out of the water. I would recommend her to everyone. I know she puts her whole self into her work as well as the best intrest of her clients. I hired Erin to represent me to annul my marriage. She had an immediate opening when I first contacted her to discuss my case. She was inquisitive and clearly demonstrated an understanding of the law and process. The pleading was filed promptly once I hired her. In the immediate days that followed, she promptly responded to my emails and calls when I had questions. There was however a delay in the preparation of the draft court order and it wasn't until I asked about it that it got done. Erin was well prepared for the "prove up" which went very well ending with the judge's approval of the annulment. Erin is clearly well respected by the judge. Over the 60 day wait period, her assistant, Allison, was at times confused on the plan and admitted to me that she was not familiar with the annulment process and that she was "learning it too." There were times when she gave me wrong information. This was very concerning to me, since she is the one who answered my calls and was the first to respond to my emails. Ultimately, this resulted in me meeting with Erin twice over the course of the 60 days to get things straight. And we did get it straight. All in all, I recommend Erin for an annulment case.

Personal problems are never easy and even more difficult when an Attorney becomes necessary. I was referred to Attorney Erin Groce by a dear friend that knew her professionally. I can not begin to express my sincere appreciation of not only her legal skills and knowledge but also with the comfort level I felt having to discuss such personal and emotional information with her. Not only does Attorney Groce have exceeptional legal knowledge she also has a "real" understanding of the uncomfortable feelings a court case brings. Ms. Groce is well organized, professional, and did extensive research on my case. She came to court prepared and also prepared me so that I felt more comfortable when I testified. A case that has lasted three years, petty arguing back and forth was settled today. What my previous lawyer and two mediators couldn't do for years, Erin did in three months!
