At the last minute Mr. Williams came to my aid. Even though he told me there was probably nothing he could do, and I was taking a risk of losing my money, I paid him his retainer anyway. After it was all said and done, imagine my surprise when I received a check in the mail for a full refund. He is definitely not your typical attorney. Thank you Mr. Williams!

After a friend died, I was handed her “hand written” will. Unfamiliar with estates or legal matter of such, I turned to a family attorney and colleague of my deceased father-in-law who had also been an attorney. After reading the will, I was told to “drop it like a hot potato and run”. My friend had no heirs, no family to turn to and had saved all her life with hopes to be memorialized by posthumous philanthropic deeds. So I couldn’t let her down. H. Steven Byers reviewed the will and told me he had no problems working with it and has since provided ongoing counsel for all matters in a complex estate.
