I called to ask a simple question about my August 11 appointment, and I got the rudest person I belive I have ever dealt with. I asked if he could tell me what I need to bring with me for my divorce case. He responded in a loud and very rude manner, " to bring everything that has to do with the case " when i asked him what that consist of he rudely respond after I meet with Scott on 8/11/22 he will tell me what I need to bring. I tried to explain that I am working and staying 3hrs from lufkin and its very hard to go back and forth just because I don't have everything I need. He then simply told me in a very very rude tone " have a good day sir" and hung up. I called back to get his name and he responded "pedro" I'm not sure thats actually his name but thats what he said.. I'm not sure if Scott is a good lawyer or not I only talked to him once. But I was raised to treat everyone with respect and I definitely didn't get it here today. I have a problem spending my hard earned money on services where I'm treated like dirt. I wished I was able to speak with someone else other than " pedro" about this matter but Scott doesn't return calls, so this is my only way other than PEDRO.

Rude & unprofessional behavior. I would not recommend if your case involves any kind of abusive behavior-it will trigger your flight/fight response and I left w/in 2 mns. Not for everyone-definitely not my kind of lawyer-and when I stated that and tried to leave she held on to my documents and she was still screaming at me as I was literally running out the door. Again maybe perfect for others situations but absolutely not for me.

Absolutely love this law firm! Scott Tatum and his team have gone above and beyond to help me throughout my divorce in 2016 and still continue to do so with all of the craziness that has followed. I won’t step into a court room without Scott Tatum by my side.

Excellent law firm! Very professional and fair prices. Listened to what I wanted and worked with me directly throughout the whole process. Honest and direct with the possibilities and courses of action. I received the best possible outcome. I fully recommend.

By far one of the worst lawyers! Scott Tatum doesn’t return calls, he’s very rude and unprofessional. He does less then the bare minimum. HE WAS A PAID LAWYER. Scott Tatum pushed me off on his brother and didn’t even show up to court, this law firm is HORRIBLE. Scott Tatum allowed the DA to tell him that he didn’t care if i didn’t have a background and didn’t fight that. He also allowed the DA to tell him that he had closing arguments for my case wrote out 3 years ago which was when the case first happened, so basically i didn’t have a fighting chance to begin with. He doesn’t remember anything when he ACTUALLY do show up to court. He will NOT FIGHT FOR YOU! He’s suppose to work for you but he doesn’t listen to a word you say. He basically told me to take an outrageous number on my FIRST FELONY CHARGE EVER. HE IS A VERY HORRIBLE LAWYER. PLEASE DO YOUR RESEARCH BEFORE HIRING THE TATUMS!

Absolutely takes advantage of clients and lies until you are unable to file for misrepresentation. Without disclosing too much legal info he mislead my mother into an 11 year sentence and didnt even speak during the trial, quoting he would "take care of things behind closed doors." and then never answering phone calls etc and always having an excuse to say he was 'working on it' when the case was fully closed by this time.
