Nobody wants to plan for their own demise. We just don't or won't think about it. Even after my husband's death three years ago, I procrastinated. With a little one still at home and moderate assets, I only had mumbled plans and a vague idea of which child of mine would shoulder the responsibility of sorting through my mess posthumously. Now I could rest assured that my daughter would be in good hands if I died before her coming of age. With the help of this will, I had one chosen person in charge if my medical care so I wouldn't have to worry about my children arguing in a hospital waiting room. My choices would be honored.
