Great communication and very helpful

I selected Attorney Wilder to represent me in light of the many admirable qualities he possesses, as a person and as an attorney, although what resounded with me foremost was this: he listened. There is a delicate interplay of receptive and incisive that an effective attorney demonstrates in their thinking and approach to a case, though this high level of mastery is rare to find. Attorney Wilder is a knowledgeable expert in this process. An attuned listener and critical thinker, he knows what questions to ask, and what information will lend itself to a successful defense. He is ethical, earnest, and outcome driven. The final decision of my case was just as he had predicted. NOT GUILTY of misdemeanor DWI. I would like to also note that Attorney Wilder’s staff cultivated a welcoming space and helpfully facilitated the logistical aspect of this legal process. Attorney Wilder embodies the qualities you hope to find in an attorney. I highly recommend him.

I worked with Doug and his Team on a serious and difficult case, and it wasn’t easy dealing with me either due to the stress of it all. Yet given all challenges, they were professional for the duration, they were persistent, and also compassionate. The team is also smart and well organized, I would recommend them based on my experience.

I had been arrested for Felony Possession, DWI and Striking a fixture. Doug Wilder came strongly recommended online, and the reviews of his service performance were very strong. There were several testimonies of dismissals, and I read and identified with those stories. I could also get an appointment quickly and talk to him directly. Doug Wilder, Amy, and Megan explained what I needed to do to position myself in the best possible light with the DA. They gave me a long list of things I needed to do to show the DA that I was taking this seriously and did not deserve convictions in my cases. After a thorough review of all the evidence, they created a plan with me, and then they executed a plea agreement for me according to the plan we agreed upon. Most of my charges were dismissed including the felony. In fact, I could avoid any convictions at all if I successfully complete my deferred probation on my DWI. I do have some probation obligations but in a short time those can all be satisfied, and I can move on without a damaged record. Because of what the firm asked me to do, I could walk into probation with nearly everything completed. The probation officer was very impressed and said they felt I would be low risk and not need much supervision. I felt very prepared for probation and thankful that most of this is behind me. This arrest itself got my attention. I have stopped drinking altogether. I think it's much better to do what the firm asks of you to get the best possible deal. It will all pay off if the DA wants to slap your wrists with some probation; you'll be prepared. Also, I was very comfortable working with Megan. She stayed positive but didn't overpromise. I also appreciate Amy's direct instructions on what I needed to do.

I made a dumb decision and got arrested for first time DWI. My BAC was .24, 3x the legal limit. I thought not having any criminal record would save me, but in Collin County that didn't make a bit of difference. Initially I hired a well-known DWI attorney out of Dallas, and wasted six months. The offer I got from the prosecutor after the first attorney's efforts was basically the same as I would have gotten from a public defender - Class A misdemeanor and no chance to get it deferred, meaning it would be on my record forever. First attorney told me it was literally impossible to get a class B deferred with my BAC at that level. After asking around, people told me that Doug Wilder was the guy who got things done in Collin county. I hired the Wilder Firm and basically started the process all over again. Doug has a strategic approach, and asks a lot of his clients in order to position them for success. I did everything Doug asked me to do, and the end result was that the prosecutor agreed to a Class B deferred with probation. This was the difference between having this mistake follow me around for the rest of my life, or having the opportunity to pay my debt and move on with a clean slate. I am forever grateful to Doug and his firm, because they never stopped fighting for me. If you find yourself in a similar position, I highly suggest you call these folks and follow the process - it works.
