Edgett Law Firm   We found ourselves in need of a Defense Attorney. We knew the reputation of many law firms as our daughter was a paralegal for various Attorneys. This is when we found Scott Edgett. He was self assured yet calm. He was easy to talk to & even easier to listen to.     The office had an ambiance of easy professionalism & total excellence! From the moment we walked through the doors to the front desk, we were greeted by Madeleine & we instantly felt at peace with the Edgett Law Firm.   We were a little nervous when we first went in to meet with Scott Edgett. Mallory, Scott’s equally professional wife & Chief Operations Officer made us feel welcome & confident that we had found a legal home for our problem.   I remember after our initial consultation, we all felt assured with our great find …. the Edgett Law Firm!    Soon after we left we had a chance to meet the junior partner of the firm, Ben Schwartz …  A young and creative lawyer with a brilliant mind, salient & sympathetic heart.  Ben did a lot of the leg work on our case, unearthing items of truth like gold nuggets to our hope. As our case moved forward, their strategies were exceptional yet they proceeded with caution. Scott handled a few of my cases and successfully took care of all my legal issues for a fair price and outstanding performance. Scott and his firm helped me with two critical issues. The first was fairly complicated and required a lot of leg work, but Scott pushed for a fair and just process and stood his ground when there were difficult hurdles such as evidence tampering. The end result couldn't have been better; probation was reinstated and I was able to move forward. Then, a few months later, Scott helped with something that couldn't have been more important - reuniting with a daughter I hadn't seen in 7 years. He pushed a motion through and got action with a week to spare before Christmas. It was the best holiday I'd had in almost a decade thanks to Scott's dedicated work. I couldn't be happier right now.

Scott and his team are very responsive, committed and engaged. We first went with the Public Defender assigned to our son and he did very little in the 6 months he was the assigned attorney. The outcome with the Public Defender would have been terrible. Once we hired Scott, he jumped in immediately and had a comprehensive plan with a solid strategy. The whole team there is topnotch ! I saw firsthand the kind of hours and hard work Scott, Ben, Mallory, and the whole team at the Edgett Law Firm puts into the cases they take on, and it was more than enough for a perfect outcome to my case. Scott and Ben were able to successfully navigate multiple meetings with two separate investigating bodies and put together a packet of information and testimonials for the Grand Jury that ultimately resulted in my case being rightfully no-billed. They were even able to charge me a reduced flat rate for their services given the circumstances of the case, which they continued to honor even when there were unexpected expenses like a polygraph test. I suspect my case ended up being more work than they initially anticipated, given the two separate investigating bodies and my own constant questions and fears, but they handled it all no problem and were very patient with my long lists of questions. I feel Scott and his team went above and beyond to ensure both my case outcome, and my sanity through the process. Scott and Ben would answer my calls at odd hours and were willing to hear my concerns when I had them, and assure me that my case was being handled properly. The proof is in the perfect outcome I got.

When I was ticketed with misdemeanor assault, you could fill a thimble with what I knew of the law. So I asked Scott Edgett to help me with the case, and despite its misdemeanor status, he agreed! He prepared my misdemeanor case like he was going to take it to trial, and got all kinds of information on the case. Lo and behold, when he went in front of the city attorney, not only did the city attorney opt to dismiss my case, but also my attacker's too (she was family)! I couldn't ask for a better outcome and I didn't even know a joint dismissal was an option. Thank you Scott!!

I cannot say enough positive things about Scott. He was hired at the last minute, after a horrible (and expensive) experience with a Dallas attorney. There was little time to prepare for my case but he went above & beyond, exceeding expectations. Collin County wanted to (and could have) sent me to prison for a very long time. Scott got the Judge to agree to probation. As a registered citizen, my families lives have forever changed and we're thankful to have Scott continuing to represent me. Wish I would've hired him first.
