I never give 5 star reviews but in this situation with me being new to SA when this initially happened I was very upset and scared. Upon the initial conversation with Vanessa I had immediate relief in knowing the retainer was gonna be cheap enough specifically after speaking to other law firms. Even tho I feel like the initial day we met with CPS was drug out a bit they still managed to return a small portion of the $1500 retainer which most firms will be sure doesn't happened. I highly recommend this firm. He was tough and the case got dismissed the same day. If I would of faced the issue alone I doubt the same outcome would of happened. Thanks Derek and staff!

Called the office and set up a consultation for the next day, via phone to speak to Mr Bancroft. After 30mins past my appointment time,I called to check on the delay,was told he'd contact me as soon as his prior consult was finished,as it was running later than expected. Called in another hour to no avail. Tried one last time,being that it was now my 3rd call,not to mention it had been 3+ hours past my consultation time, hoping he'd be available by now. He was,but unlike the compassionate gentleman that referred me to this office,Mr Bancroft seemed sort of cold,even somewhat uninterested or disconnected in my concern and advised I'd need at least $1500 to even start my case. Very dissatisfied with the little service that was provided by this law office.

Love this lawyer she made things so easy in my divorce, I even got a refund of the initial deposit. Very professional, responsive and thorough. I have a special needs child/assets as well and she made sure I got the best deal for my daughter and me. I highly recommend her.

5 stars well earned. Highly recommend, very knowledgeable and known for her expertise in her area. If in need of a good attorney keep looking, but if you want greatness, stop here..

I would highly encourage going through anyone else but this law firm. They will drag your case out as long as possible and take your money with no action done. They will give you bad legal advice! They will not help you get child support. They do not care about their clients. They will lie to you at every turn. The only reason he became a lawyer is for the money and not to defend his clients. When you are going through hard times the last thing you want is someone that you hired to help you and keep your children safe lie to you at every turn and milk you for money! This law firm is in it for all the wrong reasons! As a single mother that escaped a domestic violence situation and was desperately seeking help do not turn too Derek Ritchie and his staff! Save yourself a headache and money!! We started out in good terms but they wore my patience thin after all the lies, the run around, and the horrible encounters with their staff. Now I imagine there management team is going to have a response defending themselves which they are entitled too. However, I highly encourage Mothers to hear my advice and seek legal advice elsewhere!

I chose to work with HLJ after watching Mr. Hunter make his argument for a completely different case during a scheduled hearing/appearance.
