Mr Schafer was really helpful and I cannot thank him enough. I did look online for a lawyer when I was informed of the eviction wrongly filled against me and after checking reviews, I just knew that he would be the one. I am glad that I went with him, his communication is top notch, he went over the situation with me and was always available to answer any questions or concerns. He’s kind and after chatting with me, I was confident and knew that I was going to win the case. He got the eviction case dismissed and my landlord off my back, I can’t thank him enough. God bless you so very much.

David Schafer is an excellent attorney for tenant rights; he will dedicate time to your concerns and figure out the best path forward for your situation. Mr. Schafer helped me get through a very stressful time while I was living at an apartment complex whose management did NOT value their tenants, I am currently at my new place and am very grateful to have had him assist me through this.

I attempted to retain Mr. Schafer. He was vague and quite rude. He advised I get a professional mold test. When I got positive results on that, he told me to move out of my unit and send him all the documentation I had, while he got started on the termination letter and such. Which I also did. Then he simply ignored all my attempts at communication for the 9 days we had left in that month before I had to be out of my apartment unit. Once I moved out, (after 4 months of communication) he then tells me it's a fee of $1,750 (or so) to retain him. At no point was this communicating. I thought he was receiving payment through the lawsuit itself. Now that may in fact be his policy. I made a lot of calls and could have gotten the information mixed up. However, he also had 4 months to clarify that information with me. At one point, I specifically asked, "What is needed from me to proceed?" and again, he claimed I only needed a positive professional mold test. Yet another opportunity to inform me that I would indeed need "a positive mold test and the retainment fee." I don't like to assume someone is being rac*st, but I can't help but wonder if this is the way Mr. Schafer treats all clients. Couldn't be true considering the other reviews on here? But that's my 2 cents. I hope others can find a better lawyer who is more genuine and concerned about your unhabitable living conditions and the effect it has on your physical and psychological well being. All in all, a terrible experience. Highly NOT recommended.

So my mom works for the Texas housing foundation. And told me not to get attorney bc the case is simple. I obviously don’t listen and talked to this attorney. He told me to send a letter and I did. I basically in letter wrote what he said about my rights. And I showed it to him. And he turned down my case bc he said I was trying to go behind his back with this letter? But I did what he said?! Super childish and waste of money

Mr. Schafer is an incredible tenant attorney. He was able to turn a miserable situation for me completely around by getting my deposit back and then some. Communication was a breeze and he made sure my future tenant rights were also secured. Highly recommend!!

We highly recommend using Amber Ramsey at Ramsey Law to create your Trust, Will, etc. We started this process unaware of how much goes into creating the legal documents to protect yourself and your family. Amber and Kari have been thorough in working with us to ensure we are protected and patient with us as we had to make some decisions we were not aware we needed to at the beginning. Amber helped us decide on the best options we needed without trying to sell us on any of them. She simply informed us of the options and let us decide what would be best for us. We decided on the Revocable Trust, and we also added a pet trust that helps us feel confident our pets will be cared for should they survive us. Amber walked us through the scenarios that should be anticipated to protect our financial and property assets best. The trust package also included a Durable POA, Medical POA, Directive to Physicians, Appointment for Disposition of Remains, Declaration of Guardian, Warranty Deed, and our Wills. They even provided a checklist to assist us on what actions we needed to take after we completed the trust package. We could not have had a better experience and again, highly recommend using Ramsey Law. We had already waited too long to do this, but glad we have completed it!! Thank you to Amber and Kari for their hospitality and for always promptly responding to our many questions.
