My husband and I hired David Coffin's law firm to represent us in dealing with the IRS. Absolutely the best decision, best law firm, and BEST PEOPLE. It is scary when dealing with the IRS on any tax matter, big or small. From Mr. Coffin to his associate lawyer, Alejo Pacini who handled our case and virtually held my hand as I worried over everything, to Kris and Beth and the rest of the staff who are top notch, thorough, knowledgeable people, and super responsive to responding via email, text, or phone calls. And I want to add all were very friendly too. My husband and I wanted to hire Mr. Coffin and his firm specifically because Mr. Coffin worked for the IRS at one time and who better to know the in's and out's of the IRS than him. And then Alejo Pacino who was assigned our case also worked at one time for the IRS. Their knowledge was INVALUABLE. Second reason was they were helpful and not judgemental that we had a tax problem, and it was a large tax problem. To complicate the situation, my husband of over 40 years died and I was grieving and no idea how to take care of myself, bills, taxes, etc. My husband had always taken care of all the financial business. God Bless Alejo (he is an Angel) who worked with the IRS agent and got the amount owed down to a fraction of what was initally owed. Right after my Husband died, I had to leave town and take care of my sister who has multiple cancers. Alejo responded to all the IRS letters/notices promptly and took care of all the phone meetings with them, shielding me from more emotional turmoil. I will be eternally grateful to them, especially Alejo for lifting this burden from me. I am a real person and this is a real review and I wish the firm would use me as a client reference as I would love to feel like I am giving back to people who have helped me so much.

David went above and beyond to help my husband and I with our many tax questions. He also said that he would be glad to help but we could save money and do it ourselves (how cool is that) then he gave us all the tips we would need. We also told him our plan for next year and he helped us set up a plan for our future!!! All of this with just one phone call!!! David is a superstar . My tax situation was extremely complex, related to the sale of a company I ran to a foreign entity. Subsequent to the sale pay "through the keys to the bank" who sold the debt to a private equity firm. Some months later they shut the business down and sold the assets. When the company was originally sold I surrendered my laptop and had no documentation related to my income and stock position. The companies servers were nowhere to be found, we had no idea where the files were located in the company had no employees. Over a period of several years David, through persistence, professionalism and skill David convinced the IRS that my filing was correct. I consider this outcome to be nearly miraculous considering the lack of supporting documentation that I could provide.
