The greatest trick Herlihy ever pulled was convincing the client he contributes value in exchange for dollars. I had a challenging experience with this firm. At the start, the firm presented what they referred to as an airtight case. My wife and I spent well over a hundred hours preparing and organizing all that was requested and required by the firm. A costly, best-in-show private detective was insisted on and hired at the start. He easily gathered all we needed to win. We had everything needed and we were ready! Then… crickets… This opportune content, in the hands of the firm, was allowed to expire - squandered over years of waiting. In the absence of any legal work on the case, we heard stories of an infirm father, excuses of a walk-out by the assistant. There was absolutely no one at the firm to handle the case and perform necessary work. It was baffling - impossible to understand. All potential traction was lost. The opportunity cost was huge, the financial costs - even more devastating. I am a technologist and took a look my client file on Dropbox. All the work we spent nights and weekends pulling together at Herlihy’s request…. Not a single file was ever touched. Excessive dawdling and a litany of excuses later, I am missing $25,500 and left trying to figure out what it was spent on and what if anything I have to show. The only substantial and speedy legal happening occurred before the latest, nebulous trial date (Herlihy: "No - it is a mediation", "No, it will be handled through an exchange of emails by lawyers") - What??!! Herlihy continued to send biweekly $250 "How is everything going?" email communications in these months leading up. I watched my retainer slowly disappear because of these costly, fluff emails and asked that the firm not communicate unless necessary. This is when Herlihy turned-tail and quit. After years, the only legal work performed was by another, partner-firm Herlihy hired. The only legal work Herlihy performed was fast!! Yesterday, Friday 01/14/23, he stood in front of a judge and bravely quit the case. As a final slap in the face, this morning - Saturday - I received an invoice email, notice of my diminished retainer from said fluff emails and hours spent to leave the case. Herlihy also provided the link to replenish the retainer. Perhaps he forgot he quit the day before? Herlihy and team spend a fantastic amount of time participating in their fantasy football league. If you are into sports, have an abundance of time to waste and money to burn, then this is your firm.

From the beginning, Chip was confident in a successful outcome of our case. Our car accident happened in September 2018. It was a horrible experience for us. My family and I were hit from behind at a force so strong it caused several injuries to us, but my husband was injured the worse (broken wrist, thumb, shoulders, and back). It was devastating.
