You never want to need an employment attorney but if you do, don't think twice - give Jonathan Thorne at Utah Job Justice (Strindberg, Scholnick, Birch, Hallam, Harstad and Thorne) a call! You won't regret it. Jonathan and his team will get you what you deserve. My experience with Jonathan and his team was excellent. They are very knowledgeable, capable, trustworthy, responsive and overall very easy to work with. The value you will receive is second to none!

Honestly I wanted to like these guys and I ignored the warnings in these previous google reviews. Ended up wasting my time waiting for an appointment, my time on the call, and a non zero chunk of change. What went wrong? 1. The attorney (Jonathan) was late to the call by almost 15 minutes. At 225 an hour, I'm sure it's reasonable to expect timeliness. There are other reviews warning about this - they're 100% accurate as I found out. 2. The attorney had read through exactly zero lines of the documents I provided two weeks in advance. Why ask me to provide sensitive legal documents pertaining to a complicated scenario if no one is going to read them? 3. Multiple times the attorney asked to drop off the call to read through paragraphs of the agreement. Anyone who's ever read a contract understands reading an isolated clause means nothing without the context of the entire agreement. A quick reading of multiple lengthy documents is not why I scheduled a call. 4. The attorney's interpretation of the documents was elementary *at best* (likely because of the rushed reading). I later hired a more experienced attorney to review the documents in question and was able to enforce my claims against my previous employer. (something Jonathan thought was not likely to be enforceable - due to his scattered approach to reading contracts). 5. There are far more experienced (and cheaper) law firms in Salt Lake City. I'm not one to gripe about cost, and will happily pay a premium for a job well done - but thats not what this firm provides. What went right? Absolutely nothing went right lol. No hard feelings, but hopefully Mr. Thorne figures out how to do his job for his future clients sake. It appears this law firm survives on initial consultation fees but has very little substance behind their fancy partner names.

This law firm, has been nothing LESS THAN professional, attentive and supportive. They understand the law and what is required to help you through the process of a complicated case. I have worked directly with Lauren, Ezzy, Max and Erick (and also Katie the office manager and Dunja the paralegal) and I absolutely love each of them.

The firm, Lauren, and their legal team are very professional and diligent. They handled my case against a national corporation, kept in constant communication regarding the status of the case and were very responsive during the entire legal process. The end result was a positive financial settlement. I highly recommend Lauren and the firm if you are in need of legal representation due to employment.

I am so glad I hired an expert in employment and labor law—Mr. Platt's expertise and experience helped me avoid a number of pitfalls that I never would have foreseen; further: his guidance made my response to my former employer much more powerful than it would have been otherwise.
