I’m really sorry to read most of your comments. To me the church has helped every time I have had financial problems. Of course they own Construccion companies, real state properties, investments etc. I’m happy for them, because they really help the people in need. So I’m glad they’re smart and they know how to make more money, actually I think it’s God that has guided them to accomplish whatever amount of money they currently have. I feel bless to be a member of the church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I came to Utah from San Diego with 3 girls. I was a single mom and I had no money. We slept on a mattress over the floor for 3 months. The church helped us with food. 3 months later I finally got a job where I got paid $7.00 per hour. At a school district and they couldn’t even give me 40 hours. I started cleaning Office buildings afterwards. I never stopped paying what belongs to the Lord. That is his money not mine. Thanks to him I was able to have a job, I was healthy my girls had a roof over their head and we had food and clothes. Now after almos 19 years. I recall the scripture that I used to read over and over that reads: 8 Will a man rob God? Yet ye have robbed me. But ye say, Wherein have we robbed thee? In tithes and offerings. 9 Ye are cursed with a curse: for ye have robbed me, even this whole nation. 10 Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the Lord of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it. “prove me now herewith, saith the Lord of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it.” This part was my favorite. I never complained I have always been an obedient and hard working person. 19 yrs passed by. and the scripture became real. God is real and he keeps his promises. I’m 53 and I can’t complain. The Lord has guided me, the Lord has whispered into my ear where to go, what to do and what to say during all these year he has shown me the way! I really love to feel close to him. Life is beautiful find him! He loves you.
