Brad helped me out of a difficult situation and was absolutely amazing, supportive and everything one would hope to find in an attorney. If you are in need of a great attorney, search no further. His firm will go the extra mile!

I sent in a document for review and after the attorney had it for 2 months his solution was to write a letter to the opposing party. The interesting thing is there was no opposing party. This has to do with understanding a HOAs CC &R's and how to navigate them. Horrible waste of time

I have worked with two separate firms now under Metlife and now Legalshield. Prepaid legal service comes with its inherent downsides however, after shedding light on an issue I was having with an insurance company I was contacted by Mr. Shorter personally to address my concerns. He was highly personable, professional, and was able to resolve the issue in a timely manner. Thank you Mr. Shorter. Wonderful service. Fantastic Firm.

I was charged with a crime that I did not commit. I am 60 years old and have never been in trouble in my life however, I found myself having to navigate this unfortunate situation. In the real world, I was innocent; in the court room I was required to purchase my innocence. I could not go to trial because I simply did not have the money to do so and was denied assignment of a public defender. I soon learned of Brad Schofield of Smart Schofield Shorter, P.C. . Mr. Schofield is located in Salt Lake City, Utah and I am in Sandpoint, Idaho. Mr. Schofield has a very competent and responsive staff and quickly put me in contact with him. After explaining my situation over the phone, Mr. Schofield agreed to represent me. That was wonderful because I only had a few days remaining before my next court date. Talking with Mr. Schofield was comforting. I never felt rushed and he listened to me carefully. Mr. Schofield is a kind down-to-earth man who after talking further with I learned of his strong ethical compass. He has an extensive legal background and impressive negotiating skillset. Mr. Schofield represented me from his zoom connection while he remained in Salt Lake. He prevented the state prosecutor from taking advantage of me, he secured a good decision for me, and his fee was affordable. My situation was a fluke, I will probably never get into trouble like this again. However, I have added Mr. Schofield to my contact list. It is comforting to have access to such a great resource in legal representation.

These guys are great for all you legal needs. Pretty sure OJ could have used them back in the 90's. Keep up the good work.

We submitted our petition for divorce to them in April, it’s now August and they still haven’t corrected issues from the first “draft”. What should take 30-90 days in Utah is clearly taking much longer due to a “lost our secretary” story. Divorce is hard enough as it is but these guys sure aren’t making it any easier. Two stars because they do answer questions when you have them and an extra one because they seemed concerned about things being “fair” for the petitioner
