I needed an attorney for a traffic related ticket, that could have been very bad, and was referred to Joe King, by a well respected attorney and friend, with the words: “King will get you the best outcome you can possibly get. I’d go with King if it was me.” And he was right! Mr. King has the ability to really and truly listen, and then starts to strategize from a point of understanding. My experience with the entire office was great, but observing Mr. King when he “puts his thinking hat” on and lists similar cases that were ruled in a desirable outcome, or the opposite, and why....is what made me want to leave a review, for those of you who are anxious. Because at the end of the day, the ability to connect the dots and “think” is what makes an attorney truly great, and that’s what you get with Mr. King.

September 2018 Hands down, the best law group in northern Virginia! Dan Poretz is a superb, kind, caring, and competent attorney! He was able to secure 2 sanctions against plaintiff in a frivolous lawsuit against me, and brought in my ex-husband to pay majority of the remaining fees (THANKS GH!!). He is smart, calculating and capable! Look no further for your legal matters!!

In January of this year I was in desperate need of help. After an incident with my dog and another dog, I was incorrectly informed by Animal Control and lead to believe that this would only result in a civil matter if anything at all. A month after the incident I received an email from Animal Control stating that I was being served with a dangerous dog charge, which in fact is a criminal charge in Arlington County. I am a rule follower, respect the law and also work in public accounting so this not only scared me to death but came at the worst possible time as late winter and spring are my most stressful and busiest months. Not many lawyers in the area have dealt with dangerous dog charges so I was at a loss. Dan Poretz was one of the very few that handles defense of dogs cases and I am forever grateful to have found him. He was able to help me reach an amicable resolution to seemingly senseless accusations against my dog. He was available, responsive and supportive during a very difficult time. I appreciate his insight, honesty and results.

Joe King and Emily Beckman are excellent attorneys! Very knowledgeable, honest, and compassionate! Mr. King was always available to answer all my questions and provide necessary guidance (even on weekends!). If you are looking for someone to diligently defend you and find the best solution possible, you should definitely contact Mr. King. I am very grateful to Mr. King and Ms. Beckman for their help, they got the case dismissed within a few weeks (while my previous attorney thought it was impossible)! I hope my friends and family never need an attorney, but if they do I will definitely refer them to Mr. King and his team!
