ShounBach was the third firm I hired to represent me in my custody, divorce, and property settlement case(s). I was beginning to think I had unrealistic expectations of a client counsel working relationship until I met Carri Patterson and her team. Carrie handled my divorce and property settlement case, later she would represent me in a custody and support modification case. Carrie and her team, specifically Danubia Arias, are grounded, reasonable and clear communicators. Carrie would always approach my desired outcome with a sense of realism, grounded in her many years of practicing family law in the area. From there, she would put together a comprehensive strategy to achieve our desired outcome. Often, we would agree to mediation which was less contentious and cheaper than litigation. I still feel today, one year later, that mediation for my divorce and property settlement was the right decision and am satisfied with the outcome. When my ex and I were too far apart on issues, such as custody modification, litigation became the only option. Carrie knew my case inside and out front and backward, many times remembering incidents or messages better than I did. She did an amazing job of balancing a professional perspective and becoming emotionally committed to my cause and case. When we went to court for 50/50 custody Carrie could not be stopped, her dialogue must have been well-rehearsed as she hit every major point, we wanted the judge to hear flawlessly. Also, she did outstanding at cross-examination and redirection laying a series of verbal snares that were extremely effective in illustrating my ex’s true colors and motives to the judge. We won, even if we had not, I would be writing this review the exact same way I am now. I believe I have an eye for talent and can certainly identify a passionate, hard worker who believes in what they do. That is Carrie Patterson, I am extremely fortunate to have found her and ShounBach.
