I worked with Laura O’Brien on a recent divorce matter that went final. Before retaining the firm, I had been representing myself for many months and had had a difficult time with opposing counsel, including contentious discovery. Ms. O’Brien settled the remaining property issues and was able to negotiate a final divorce order, all within one week of my hiring her. She is professional, understanding, empathetic, knowledgeable, and cost-conscious. The other law firm employees I interacted with were also friendly and professional. I highly recommend the firm to others.

I highly recommend Laura O'Brien to handle any family law matters you may be facing. Not only has Laura advised me on how to handle some challenging situations but she also represented me in a hearing, which resulted in an outcome I was very pleased with. Laura’s diligence in the preparation of my motion was very apparent in both the submission and the arguments to the court. From the first meeting, Ann Luu assured me that my case would be resolved and gave me the advice to protect myself financially and what items to document for the possibility of a divorce proceeding being filed. Ann’s professional guidance and advice was always in my best interests when I thought of letting my ego take over and ask about just skipping the mediation process and taking my case to court she explained the consequences of that decision and why she felt that was not in my best interest but always left the decision on how to proceed up to me. Ann was always prepared even when dealing with numerous delays in receiving documents and not receiving first settlement offer at 5 PM on Friday with Mediation at 10 am Monday I always felt that we were prepared. The settlement terms are virtually identical to the terms Ann discussed at our first meeting by saying if you can get close to these terms sign before they change their mind. I am not sure I could have received a better settlement but know it could have been much worse.

Sean Kelly was the best to have in your corner. Not only did he have my best interest every step of the way, he listened and took my advice. He agreed with some suggestions and thoroughly explained why one plan of action would or wouldn’t work to our benefit. Sean fought for me, and fought for the best interest of my kids. He is a family man through and through. His confidence and knowledge of the law protects you during the tough decision of divorce. I would recommend Sean, and the rest of the team, to any one of my friends.

John Byrnes was my attorney for my recently finalized divorce (Sept 2018). He was incredibly reasonable and perceptive knowing when to push on an issue and when to concede small details in favor of maintaining an amicable working relationship with the other party. Don't mistake that strategy for weakness as he is just as capable of being ferocious when warranted. He secured for me an extremely generous alimony while keeping the other side happy and willing to work with us. I highly recommend him.

John Byrnes was my divorce attorney and I can't say enough about his knowledge, strategy and ethics. Throughout the whole process John was informative, protective and made it happen.
