I used Livesay & Myers while trying to finalize a messy divorce. We had some of the preliminary things already done, but my husband was trying to change things last minute. Sarah Patras was so easy to work with. She always answered my questions quickly and professionally. When I was confused by some of the legal terms, she had no problems setting up phone calls with me to make sure I knew exactly what I was agreeing to and what everything ment. I highly recommend working with her.

After marital and family counseling, I made the hard decision to move forward with my divorce--ending 20 plus years of marriage. Importantly, I began seeking legal counsel during the pandemic, which elongated this emotional process. Lindsay Connolly and the team at Livesay & Myers have been AMAZING. They all listened to my concerns and made sure I was comfortable with everything before we started anything. I used their offices for child support, custody & visitation, and finally divorce. Lindsay is a bulldog in court and doesn't let anything slide! Really made me comfortable and had explained everything prior to us being in front of the judge so I knew what to expect. The rates are a bit high, but 100% worth it if you can afford it. I highly recommend this team!

If you are going through a divorce or/and child custody, please hire a SKILLED lawyer and please don't take anything lightly or for granted. Great place to get help espically on short notice and it you are a person with questional decision making problems.jasmine moore is great for making uncooperative people more agreeable and can come up with a plan to help you get what is right. She is well known in the area by other attorneys and can give you advice on everything from how to answer your spouce to how to get what you want and stay on the legal side of the law. Yep but they dont work for free but it is money well spent

I retained Lindsay Connolly, Esq., to handle my divorce. She was very competent, knew the laws, always answered any questions I had, be they process questions, "what to expect next" questions, or legal terminology questions that appeared in the legal documents which she drew up on my behalf. Email was always answered in a timely manner as well. Her legal assistant, Josephine Zimmer, was also very competent, helpful, and on top of things. Email was always answered in a timely manner. I found the law firm's method of billing to be so much more feasible than my previous experience with a law firm. Rather than a renewal of a large retainer after that retainer was depleted by the billable hours charged, Livesay & Myers bills you every bi-weekly, so that the full retainer amount is replenished every two weeks. Rather than paying a large amount every few months, you are billed only the amount for the billable hours covering the previous two weeks. Thus, the payment is quite manageable. Once the matter is closed, the funds left in "trust," are returned to you. I found this practice to be so much easier and more financially manageable than providing a second/third, etc. retainer fee once the billable hours depleted the entire retainer. I highly recommend Lindsay Connolly, Esq., to anyone who would need her services. I was quite pleased and very satisfied with the work she and Josie did on my behalf. Should I ever need their services again, I would retain them again!

I attempted to post this (now edited) review 3 days ago, March 1st, but it did not go through. Ms. Jasmine Moore, one of your Fredericksburg-Stafford lawyers, was in the Fredericksburg courthouse on February 28th, 2022, loudly gossiping and laughing about cases she was currently handling, providing incredibly detailed information. She mentioned some clients by name and how their case involves leaked "personal photos" and how Judge Vance won't appreciate seeing these photos as evidence, so she hopes that she's able to mediate out of the courtroom. She also talked about some of her other cases, with enough information that I felt rather uncomfortable. I find it very concerning that she felt that this was an appropriate topic to talk about, and I'm pretty sure it was a major breach of her clients' confidentiality. I will never work with Livesay & Myers, if this is the type of lawyer they employ.
