I first met attorney Van Smith 4 years ago when I was in an urgent need of a divorce lawyer. In the last 4 years, I have been through a long, contested, and difficult divorce process, child custody battle, and several protective order hearings. Attorney Van Smith made an otherwise awkward process of a prenup consult with my fiance an enjoyable one - which is a bit hard to believe, but the honest-to-God truth! I am a professor at a local state university and have retirement plans with Virginia Retirement System (VRS) and TIAA-CREF.
