Joe Thelin is one of the best defense attorneys in Northern Virginia. Mr. Thelin did an amazing job on my case. I received a speeding 83 in a 55 and a driving on suspended and because of my bad driving record Fairfax County wanted to put me in jail. Mr. Thelin was very understanding of my case and was able to get them to drop the driving on suspended charge and the speeding charge he got me off with a reasonable fine. He is a good lawyer and a good man. I highly recommend his services.

He really did a great job listening to me first and understanding the exact circumstances, finding all weaknesses in the case, then formulating a very effective strategy of a strong offense in our defense of the charges. Joe stepped up to plate and really delivered a grand slam home run for me in the bottom of the 9th. I was charged with some pretty serious charges for something in which I was not involved in, and I wanted to vociferously defend myself against from the very beginning. Joe listened intently while I fully explained the exact circumstances to him. He asked follow up questions to some of the things I said to be absolutely sure he understood every facet of the case. He found several inconsistencies after discovery that were contradicting of each other, and began painting an entirely different picture then what the SA was trying to. Joe successfully used this slight opening, and systematically worked to completely dismantle the entire case and "evidence" which were being used against me. Only after he was able to come to the negotiating table from a position of strength, did Joe even consider going to the SA to work out a settlement. He successfully defended me and my reputation and really put everything he had into it. I am extremely grateful to him for his high energy defense and highly recommend him.

Me. Thelin was assigned to me as a court appointed attorney. However, he treated me like a client paying a million dollar retainer. He is incredibly easy to talk too. He fights hard to get the best deals possible for his clients. He explains options clearly and concisely. He discusses with his clients what is best for them under their specific circumstances. I have paid over 5 grand to one lawyer, and have had 4 different lawyers throughout my life. All of them were paid hefty sums of money. My Thelin is just a class above all the other lawyers. He was the best lawyer that I have ever had and he was a court appointed attorneys (pro bono).

What a blessed and awesome experience my son and I had with these two God sent attorneys. We arrived at the courthouse on Friday and we were greeted by a clerk who informed us that we could not go in front of a judge today or Monday to get my son's restricted license amended (my son is starting a new job on Tuesday and it is mandatory that his new job be listed on the amended restricted license); the clerk told us that we could come back on Tuesday (but that's the day my son was to start work). We walked up and down the halls of the court and we finally stopped in front of a gentleman who appeared to be a lawyer. We started telling this man what we needed and then his partner walked up; the one partner said to the other partner I can go in front of the judge and ask him if if he would hear this case and off we went. The judge heard our case and we were in and out of the courtroom with what we needed in less than three minutes.
