Jennifer was fantastic. She simplified what could be an incredibly complex process of estate planning. We discussed how I wanted things to be, and she crafted the documents to fit my needs. Her review of my situation highlighted areas of particular focus that could have been screwed up by a less careful practitioner (not even going to mention how screwed I'd be if I used the DIY legal forms online). I also appreciated how she was able to point out areas where I was overthinking because VA law already established what I needed. The process was quick but I never felt rushed. I have no reservations recommending Jennifer for your estate planning needs.

Rob served as our M&A attorney when we sold two of our software/SaaS companies. He came highly recommended from a trusted friend in the private equity industry. Rob is exceptionally knowledgeable, thorough and responsive. His brilliance shines once you see how he digests say a 200 page contract and points out every potential issue and offers ways to negotiate through them, ensuring the client is protected while also moving the deal forward. His extensive experience is also very reassuring - it helped to sooth nerves as we went through the [quite stressful] M&A process. I also like Rob's flat fee model - basically you pay a flat fee plus a success fee that only gets paid if the deal is executed. I never felt I was being nickeled and dimed, and there were no surprising fees. In sum, working with Rob was a pleasure and I highly recommend him.

Rob represented our management team in the review and negotiation of complex employment and equity agreements with a private investors. This is the second time I have been "at the table" with Rob. Excellent choice for management as well as representing private equity. He raised, prompted, dealt with and counseled management to resolve numerous interrelated legal and business issues. My firm, Prime Investments, was the sell-side adviser on a very complicated recapitalization involving three private equity firms. Rob Marks of Tomlinson Advisory provided legal representation to the seller. Buyer was represented by a large team at a Wall Street law firm. Rob Marks and Tomlinson did a great job negotiating favorable terms for the seller in all the various legal docs. Rob also oversaw and coordinated seller's response to buyer's voluminous disclosure document requests. Rob was always available and responsive throughout the process. All in all, Rob Marks did a great job and Prime would be certainly recommend his firm to anyone needing legal representation in an M&A deal.

Attorney Downey assisted me with an insurance settlement case after the death of my husband that unfortunately involved a dispute among family members. He successfully obtained the maximum payout from the insurance companies and though he was my attorney, he treated all parties with the utmost care and respect.
