Mr Leavitt is greatness. First, he was a human being and easy to talk to. Second, he was smart, and always knew what he was talking about. Third, he was aggressive in his defense, and I really felt like he really wanted my issue resolved as badly as I did. Fourth, the issue was in fact resolved to my satisfaction, thanks to 1 through 3, above. He was always accessible, returned his calls and never rushed me off the phone; I felt that my concerns became his concerns. (I once wrote a check for $10,000 to another attorney for another mater entirely, just to tie up loose ends, and if that guy had had a fraction of the smarts, scruples and humanity as Mr. Leavitt, it would have been money well spent, not money simply wasted. I may as well have burned it.) I would recommend Mr. Leavitt to anyone I know.

My granddaughter received a reckless driving, 87 in a 70, in the Emporia area - speed trap heaven for the county I think! Be that as it may, I found Mr. Leavitt on the internet, contacted him and he responded a few hours later when he returned from Court. He worked out a fabulous result for my granddaughter! She did not even have to appear. He was always responsive to our questions, up front with his answers, and we could not have had a better outcome or be happier. We also thought his fee was reasonable under what could have been more serious circumstances!

What a concise, precise service from an attorney. Dan Leavitt recently handled a court matter for me that arose from the now infamous Emporia Entrapment Emporium. Mr. Leavitt returned my call very promptly, asked me relevant questions, openly and freely discussed his fees and terms and left me reassured that I truly had competent and engaged legal representation at court. He handled my case, kept me informed of the various stages and their results, represented me in court and achieved an outcome that was acceptable to me. As I am in a service oriented profession myself, I highly recommend Mr. Leavitt for his superior legal representation in Southside Virginia.

My husband and I secured Mr. Leavitt's services when our son was charged with reckless driving after received a very serious speeding ticket on his way back to college. It was my son's first offense of any kind and we were concerned about the points on his license as well as having a permanent misdemeanor charge on his record. I did some research and found out that Mr. Leavitt had very positive reviews and was also the president of the local bar association. Mr. Leavitt was proactive and responsive from day one. He a did an excellent job of explaining the serious nature of the charges to our son and made a definite impression on him. Mr. Leavitt is very familiar with the judges in the area and gave us good advice on how to be proactive before the court date to achieve the best results. We had a complication with VASAP that was no fault of ours or our attorney's and at no extra cost, Mr. Leavitt handled the situation by writing several emails and letters, as well as getting our judge involved. In the end, our son's charges were reduced from reckless driving to a simple speeding ticket. He does not have any record and I would very highly recommend Daniel Leavitt. He is an excellent attorney, has very good communication skills, and is extremely knowledgeable.

I received a speeding ticket in Sussex County, VA - 80 MPH in a 70 zone. As I am required to have a "very" clean driving record for my business, I was recommended to Mr. Leavitt by another attorney- it was a good choice. He is professional, thorough and dedicated - the outcome was as good as one can hope for. I would highly recommend Mr. Leavitt!

We recently engage the services for Dan Leavitt when my son received a speeding ticket in Brunswick County. Since in the Commonwealth of Virginia, any speeding charge over 80 mph is classified as a misdemeanor reckless driving charge, we thought it would be wise to hire legal counsel to guide us through the process. Mr. Leavitt was extremely responsive and explained how the legal proceedings would work from beginning to end. After our court date, he also took time to explain the outcome and also made sure he answered any questions we had. We were very satisfied with the outcome and would not hesitate to recommend him or use him in the future.

I got pulled over near Hopewell on my way to a vacation in Florida - a terrible way to start a vacation! The officer issued me summons with reckless driving by speeding for allegedly driving over 80mph in a 70mph zone. I understand the seriousness of a reckless driving charge if convicted and was very worried. After doing a whole lot of research about the charges and also the lawyers in that area, I decided to try Mr. Leavitt. He had an impressive track record in dealing with such cases. After calling him and speaking with him during an initial consultation, I immediately decided to hire him to represent me and I'm glad to have made that decision. He was honest and realistic in his discussions about the case. He is a very competent lawyer and knew what he was doing. He charged me a reasonable fee. What made it a good experience for me was how considerate he was and that he was always available to answer any questions and concerns I had. He got my charges reduced to Improper Driving which is a non-criminal moving infraction. I paid a fine but it was well worth the money to have the charges reduced and to have peace of mind. I would gladly recommend him to anyone looking for a skilled attorney in the Hopewell area.

I highly recommend Mr. Leavitt for any and all traffic matters. From start to finish Mr. Leavitt was accessible each and every time I contacted him. I had a traffic accident and I was concerned about insurance issues and points on my driving record. Mr. Leavitt handled everything and got my charge completely dismissed with no fine. He handled my case personally in court and did not send an associate or new attorney to handle the case... Hiring this attorney was worth every penny.

Mr Leavitt was great! I got charged with reckless driving in Virginia coming from back from a trip to NY and I had no idea what to do, as I've never been charged with any kind of crime before. He handled everything. He might not be the cheapest (I got a few quotes a tiny bit cheaper) but he did his job with no hassle on my side. I would recommend him to a friend, as well as recommending a car with cruise control through Virginia.

I had a RD charge for going 83/70 in Dinwiddie County. I did not realize the severity of the charge and went to court and plead guilty hoping for a reduced sentence. I got convicted and panicked. I am in graduate school for education and having to click "yes" on the criminal conviction was NOT something I was trying to put on a job application... simply because I drove 13 miles over the speed limit. Unfortunately I had a driving record that has marks on it, no speeding tickets but several improper turns and other minor violations that made my record look ugly however on an appeal. I hired a lawyer in Dinwiddie (NOT Daniel Leavitt) for a very low price to handle my appeal. However, I could not get in contact with him after paying him even to get a receipt for my payment. I called him one day after several emails and about a week of leaving messages and politely but ademately asked his secretary that I get a receipt so that knew what i paid for. Long story she was very rude and hung up the phone on me, even though I kept my tone polite but firm the whole time. I emailed that attorney that I was seeking other counsel and ended up getting a refund. Now about a week before my appeal I had to find a new attorney. Mr. Leavitt personally answered my call and offered me a reasonable price, and felt trustworthy, so I hired him. He seemed to me to have very seasoned experienced in particular with dealing with Dinwiddie County and how the prosecutors and judges operate and that was very comforting. Not only did he get my charge reduced to just a 9 above speeding ticket. But he was 100% accessible to me. He answered the phone almost every time I called or called me back. I was very anxious about this situation and contacted him quite a few times. He was prompt and thorough in response to emails, and I felt the entire time like he valued my case and never like it was just some minor thing on a stack on his desk (which I felt with my other lawyer) This issue caused a lot of lost sleep for me and in my opinion, hiring Mr. Leavitt was just a great investment. He seems genuinely passionate about his practice, and I would recommend him to anyone to handle a traffic violation.

Mr. Leavitt is a highly skilled attorney. I have used him for two different traffic cases with excellent results. No fine, no court costs once, no fine, court costs only the second time. Best of all no points on my driving record. Highly recommended.
