I've had many lawyers in my life, both professionally & personal. Ms. Sherwood represented me on at least 10 court appearances (maybe more), I've never had an attorney so in-tuned to every small detail of my case(s), never had an attorney that is so responsive to every action, she promptly replied to every inquiry I had, never ended the phone call without asking me "if I have any other questions?". From my 1st conversation with her & subsequent transactions (court filings, appearances, etc) I knew she had my absolute best interest at heart. If there's an attorney in Hampton Roads that practices law with a passion for the clients rights; its Jennifer Sherwood. My words on here cannot thank her enough!

Mrs. Sherwood is a wonderful attorney. Very professional and loves helping dads receive justice. I have been working with her for 6 months. We set a goal in the beginning to achieve. I provided her with the paperwork and emails she needed. Open phone calls texting and emails the entire process. We both arrived and hour early to prepare. She did a great job in the court room. Attorney Sherwood has gone above and beyond our expectations in representing our family. She has always been professional, respectful of our time, considerate of our concerns/needs, and prompt in responding to anything unexpected that arises, and quick and witty in the court room while maintaining everyones attention and respect. I hired her to replace my lawyer in APR2020, and it was a decision I would live to regret. I was in a Custody/Support/Visitation case, in which my teenage son wanted to come and live with me. She failed to request discovery from opposing counsel, she did not subpoena my son to speak with the judge. During the hearing the Judge actually asked to speak with my son he couldn’t be he was not in attendance. I received greater Custody share but that was not what my family was striving for especially with my son telling a therapist that he want to come live us and he never had his chance to speak. She did recommend that I withdraw my Support case but never even asked me how much I paid in support. The week of our trial, she literally ignored my email and text messages for two days I did not hear from her until Wednesday evening. She showed up to court thirty minutes before the hearing and we walked into courtroom with no strategy or plan other than her telling me to maintain my composure. We constantly quarreled over the phone and there was never no lawyer-client synergy between the two of us. I genuinely regret hiring her and the lawyer I replace actually did not show up to a court date at some point during my case. I was an out of town client, who constantly felt I was being treated as out of sight out of mind. I definitely would not tell anyone what to do but I feel obligate to share my experience.
