Mr. Smith is a very polite, experienced Bankruptcy attorney. I was very apprehensive about the fall out of filing any kind of bankruptcy. He calmed my fears and found the best outcome for me, without judgement. The process was fairly easy and he responded to every question quickly. A true class act!

Awesome attorney. I went in for a speeding ticket, and they were honest and upfront with me with what would be in my best interest, which, actually meant me not hiring them at all. I don’t have a lot of experience with attorneys, but I think many attorneys might have tried to take advantage of me and may have tried to convince me to hire them anyway, so I was impressed that they chose integrity and honesty with me instead. I would definitely recommend their services to anyone.

I can’t say enough good things about my experience.. Heather was very informative with giving me the necessary information and tools I needed literally less than 24hrs before my scheduled hearing to stop the proceedings! This is not long after had been quoted an outrageous $5000 fee UPFRONT for representation from another local law firm’s secretary who’s excellent reviews is what drew me to them in the first place. She and John have been so caring and compassionate during this very difficult time. I couldn’t have asked for a better law firm in my time of absolute desperation! Generally, filing bankruptcy isn’t the greatest experience in someone’s life. My fiancee and I had a lot of anxiety going into filing bankruptcy. Even more so, we had a lot of questions. We met with Merna Law’s attorney, Heather Silkstone, in Newport News. We expected an attorney to be thorough and competent. What we didn’t expect was for her to be so kind. Not only did Heather make us aware of all our options, and answer all of our questions, she was really understanding and generous with her time. They treated me like a person, not like an account number. I can’t tell you how much this fresh start has meant to my family. I’m really grateful to Merna Law and Mrs. Silkstone for giving us the tools to start our lives together. Can’t recommend enough.

I regret going to this law group. Attorney Ms. Heather Silk is so bothered less about your case. They charge alot and leave your hanging, they dont even notify you about upcoming hearing. The way i see it, they dont even fight for your case. Just paper work and numbers... Now i have to look for somewhere else.

Fantastic legal advice on everything you can't go wrong

Went for free consultation; as advertised. Took longer to find the building/location than the paperwork and appointment. Met with Ms. Heather Silkstone - how had no personality nor apparent compassion for customers situations. Two minute consultation resulted in a QUOTE FOR $1600 for uncomplicated Bankruptcy filing. BALANCE MUST BE PAID IN FULL TO BEING ANY PROCEDURE ON LAW OFFICES PART. They simply file paperwork and accompany to any, if necessary, court meetings. SEEMS if someone is having financial trouble then they SHOULD be willing to BEGIN PROCESS (FILE PAPERWORK - which they do electronically at minimal cost as cheap paralegals do the 'work'). DISAPPOINTED that LAWYERS MAKE THEIR OWN WAGE AT THE EXPENSE OF INDIVIDUALS IN NEED OF ASSISTANCE.

I highly recommend Holcomb Law... Excellent and very professional people who strive to do there job in the best way possible. If I need them in the future I will definitely call them.
