Rutter Mills have always served my needs and guarantee the best for my auto accident.

After being denied social security disability the first time, I contacted Rutter Mills to handle my SSA disability case. When I got the letter for the 2nd denial I called and I stated I would get to work on the appeal paperwork for the hearing phase. I was told it was already completed and not to worry because they would handle all things for me. It took about a year and a half for the hearing to occur but that was no fault of Rutter Mills. It was the backlog in the process due to a shortage of judges. At the hearing David Ashe was well prepared and he prepared us very well for the questioning by the judge. It went as smooth as glass. A few weeks later I received a letter from the judge that he found in my favor. Other than the lengthy process at no fault of the law office it went very well.

Mr. Cochrane & Ms. Casselton were very helpful when I went to them. It was my first suing an insurance company after I got into a car accident. They made sure I had all of my paperwork together for my case. It took about two years to finish the case, but if course things like that take time. I was very satisfied with the settlement I was granted. Thanks guys.

If you've been in an accident, Rutter Mills is a great law firm to go to. They handled my case professionally and got me what I deserved.

I applied for Social Security Disability back in 2015. I had had two traumatic injuries to my body; one in 1994 and the other in 2006. As a result, I was left with knee problems, back problems, osteoarthritis and other musculoskeletal issues. I also suffer with Bipolar 2 Depression, PTSD, and Generalized Anxiety Disorder. I am unable to take many of the drugs that were prescribed to me, because they either make me violent or cause me to have vivid fantasies of suicide. After my denial after my first application, I had heard that most people never fare well against Social Security, when applying for disability; and it would be beneficial to hire an attorney. I had heard good things about Rutter Mills, so I decided to give them a call. I had my consultation in a relatively short period of time after contacting the office in Newport News. Mr. Robert Gilliken was one of the attorneys that specialized in handling SSD cases. He was kind, soft-spoken, and he explained the entire process to me.told me the time frame for these cases, and that it would take a lot of patience and perseverance. Fast forward to December 2017, when I went for my hearing. Mr. Gilliken and I had a pre-hearing meeting, and he gave me a rundown of how things would unfold before the judge, which was helpful in knowing what to expect. I won my case! After the hearing was over, Mr. Gilliken explained what would happen in the weeks to come. I was truly blessed to have someone in my corner, doing all the legwork and fighting for me at that hearing. If you are trying to get you your SS benefits on your own I would highly recommend hiring Rutter Mills as your attorney to obtain your Social Security Disability benefits .Although it does take some time to finally be seen by the court system, (which is completely out of Rutter Mills hands) they handed every legal aspect from obtaining doctors notes to scheduling court dates. My case was difficult because my disease was rare And needed lots of documentation. This was not an issue for my attorney and he and his staff kept me informed throughout the process.Thanks to Rutter Mills I received my benefits and had no added stress to my life while going through what can be a grueling process.Dont do this on your own Get an attorney.

Lawyers they treat you well and professional but at the end of the day they are getting paid 20% of your case.
