D. Heath Gates, Jr., is a bully of an attorney who threatens lawsuits with little understanding of the circumstances. It doesn’t surprise me that another extremely negative review of him already exists here. With his lack of competence, I guess he has to join daddy’s firm to have a job.

My consultation with real estate attorney Mr DiStanislao in March 2023 was extremely DISAPPOINTING and opposite of what partner Mr. Rennie told me to expect. I had an appointment with partner Mr. Scott but got shuffled to associate DiStanislao. After emailing material for the meeting over a week ahead, he was totally unprepared to discuss my situation at our meeting. During the meeting he presented nothing but old simple solutions. I DEFINITELY DO NOT recommend using this firm for ANY real estate matters.

I was referred to Cowan Gates by my tax person. They were backed up so I had to wait a month to get an appointment. No one's fault. When I showed up for my appointment, they told me it was the wrong day. I'm pretty meticulous about scheduling appointments but gave them the benefit of the doubt. I showed up today for my appointment and the assistant told me she called me and left a message on my cell that there was a conflict of interest. I never received a voicemail and she had not called my number. A disappointing waste of time. Very poor service from the beginning is indicative of what's to come.
