On July 1 this firm handled my mortgage closing. No one told me what I would need to receive my proceeds. So with the options given I said mail me a check. Ms. Natalie Akans, real estate paralegal dispersed the monies on July 7. When several business days went by I called and asked about my check. She mailed it July 7 but she said you know mail is slow. towards the end of the month I called again. She advised I could pay the stop payment fee and pay a wire fee to have my funds the next day. I asked, did you send it certified or registered? Her reply was no as the firm could not incur any costs. (Charged $475 to close). REALLY!! YOU SENT A CHECK FOR SEVERAL THOUSAND DOLLARS WITHOUT CERTIFICATION!!! AND I HAD TO PAY FOR THE STUPIDITY AND IRRESPONSIBILITY OF MS. AKANS? Today is August 14. The check has never shown up. I would not recommend you for anything that deals with this firm.
