Save your money and go anywhere else, Rebecca will rack up the billable hours and give you little to nothing in return. Rebecca was my attorney for over a year in the lead up to a custody and support matter that ended horrifically for me. For the custody part she passed me along to an associate who couldn't answer the basic question of why I deserve to have custody of the children to the judge, which was clearly spelled out in my Petition and the Interrogatories. For the support part Rebecca tried to ditch me as a client two weeks prior to the court date after having paid her close to $30k in the lead up to the trial, then on our day in court she left court room while I was sitting on the stand under examination from the opposing counsel. Rebecca biased the court on her way out claiming I had lied under oath to the judge, which I clearly had not, she didn't even give me the chance to explain my statement before she just up and left the courtroom. The Judge did not offer a continuance, and in-fact made me represent myself for the rest of the trial. I had no idea where any of the evidence documents were, nor did I know how to defend myself, so in the end I ended up owing not just the full amount that my ex claimed plus interest I had to pay her attorneys fees on top of it. It was the worst possible outcome and any lawyer could have done a better job. You would be wise to steer clear of this charlatan who has no scruples and will charge you a fortune and take your money then leave you on the stand defenseless. In short Rebecca ruined my life and you would be wise to heed this warning and go elsewhere for legal counsel. Update I read your response and I reaffirm that you ruined my life in ways you will never comprehend. I wish I could give your firm zero or negative stars. You are a thief, a swindler, morally bankrupt and evil, and I pray God ruins your life the same way you walked out that court room after you stole my money and ruined mine. 💯

The team at the reston office really helped my mom as she walked through the process of finally changing her name after so many years of marriage. The courts messed up and the fought hard to fix it for us and made what could have been a nightmare process a wonderful one.

So thankful for this firm!! They take the team approach with me so even when my attorney was in court for another client, I was able to get my emergency question answered by a different attorney.

We hired this law firm last minute in desperateness and such an emotional timing. We were told we were getting one of the best lawyers that were familiar with family law in the end we ended up with a just out of law school graduate who was very intimidated by the states attorney and this law firm allowed her to charge us and steal lots of money with little work behind it. I would never recommend this firm. They were not truthful on who was going to be working with my family and they trusted a recent graduate to deal with a very serious family matter in the JDR Fairfax county court. Everything that my family spoke with her about she did not address she was not prepared and more than $4000 down the drain for nothing just to obtain new counsel she appeared at one hearing and this is what we get? They were inconsiderate and took advantage of us being young minorities. This is very shameful! We grew up in Reston and to have people in our same hometown do this to us is ridiculous they should be ashamed of their ethical behavior. They don’t even deserve this one star!

What a breath of fresh air they were. After dealing with a terrible firm that took an uncontested divorce and turned it into a year long $30,000 nightmare. Emily Vaughn turned my case around in as little as a week. All parties were talking again and it was finished a month or two after that. Eric Schell and Emily Vaughn were hands down the best to work with. I would recommend them to anyone! I am and will continue to use them in other matters in the future. They truly impressed!
