I worked with Mr. Leiner from Barnes and Diehl. I had a great attorney who was patient and always looking out for my interests. He was professional and extremely competent. He helped me obtain a very favorable outcome and I recommend him and the firm wholeheartedly! Five stars.

Throughout my long and challenging divorce, Harris Leiner was clear in his communications, prompt, efficient with his time, knowledgeable & thorough. He handled everything that was thrown at him and was always available and understanding. A no-nonsense pro. I highly recommend Harris Leiner.

So let me first start by thanks my personal attorney, Mr. John Karanian. I’ve never met an attorney more competent, more empathetic, more prepared or more driven for the right thing-and I’ve met my fair share of lawyers. Barnes and Diehl is ranked as one of the best law firms in Virginia. It’s the reason why I chose them; but Mr. Karanian’s resume speaks for itself and I was both lucky and blessed for my particular custody and divorce case to land in his hands. My case was unorthodox and not a cut and dry legal battle. In other words, we were in for a fight. He made no promises (as I believe attorneys shouldn’t)but he did ensure to take my case very seriously and pull out all the stops. I’m someone who always hopes for the best but prepares for the worst. That said, I have always been on to keep organized and track everything. We didn’t just receive a favorable outcome, he took everything I had and put it to good use, so we got what was EXACTLY fair to all parties but above all else my children. I would never choose another law firm or attorney to represent me if I ever need one in the future.

When I found myself needing a divorce attorney after 35 years of marriage, a friend referred me to Ronald Evans at Barnes & Diehl. I was never privy to our marital finances and investments. I had no clue where to start or what to ask for. Ron took the wheel and guided me through the whole process from what statements to get to what I feel I deserve after 35 years. He took every piece of information I could think of and literally let me relax and when he put all those years together, we met and he gave me a plan of what I most likely could get financially to live the rest of my life quite comfortably, and he made that happen! When we needed specialists in the forensic field of finances, he knows the best people to get! His staff are equally as knowledgeable and kind and professional as he is. Needless to say, he took the third worst experience of my life and made the transition as smooth and easy as possible. Today I am the happiest in my life as I have ever been, and I owe it all to him. Mr Leiner was an outstanding attorney. An absolute shark in the court room who never over stated our case and was always honest from the beginning. Worth every penny and secured the outcome I had hoped for during my child custody trial.

I’d give it a one star if I didn’t get the work I needed complete. Craig Sampson is the most unprofessional person I have ever met. I was in the middle of a divorce, the paperwork was wrong and he lost it on me in front of his notary. I was referred here from another attorney and that referral ends with me. Can’t speak on the firm as I got my matters handled, but as far as the money I paid, common respect should have been forwarded to me. Avoid Craig. Won’t be going back to him….
