After receiving 6 criminal charges I was completely terrified of the inevitable court date that would determine the consequences of my actions. I knew I had to find an adept lawyer to represent me in court. Susan was that lawyer. She helped calm my feelings of worry and panic, as well as my family's fears of what the verdict would be when court came around. I went into court and I was scared, I hadn't made her job an easy one. But she reassured me that things were going to be okay and that she was going to fight for me to the end and do her absolute best. My charges were drug and firearm related and the guidelines were very strict of how long i was to be incarcerated. In the back of my mind i thought there was no way I would do any less than 6 months in a correctional facility. After she came to inform me of the deal that was made I was absolutely shocked and awed, only ten days in a correctional facility and 3 years of good behavior on top of that I only had to serve my time on weekends! It lifted a heavy weight off my shoulders it was an amazing feeling, this allowed me to start rebuilding my life. It seems like this lawyer is a miracle worker to me. She is amazing to say the least. My family hired Susan after I was involved in a domestic violence altercation with my boyfriend that led to my arrest; the charge was Domestic Assault on a Family Member- a charge that Fairfax County takes VERY seriously. I had never been in trouble of this magnitude before and had only ever dealt with court proceedings a few times prior (small tickets and such), so Susan Fremit is the first and only lawyer I've ever had. That being said, after the experience I had with her working my case, I can tell you that she's now the only lawyer I'd ever want to defend me. Upon first meeting her, Susan was the epitome of professional. She was sympathetic, friendly, earnest, respectful, and ready to get down to business. Her personality and attitude helped me relax and made me confident that I was in good hands. Communication leading up to my court date was very frequent and Susan was always available via email and phone. On the day of my hearing, throughout of the morning while we waited to be called, Susan calmly walked me through all the possible scenarios that could unfold. She told me, however, that the prosecutor seemed set on charging me with Domestic Assault on a Family Member which would be on my record forever, would lead to me being enrolled in the First Offenders Program and could include minor jail time. After speaking adamantly with the prosecutor and arresting officer several times during the hours of waiting, Susan unbelievably convinced the prosecutor to settle on a plea bargain that hailed heavily in my favor: instead of aforementioned charges and punishments, I was charged only with trespassing and had to attend an 18-week ADAPT Program (once a week) while meeting monthly with PO for the duration of the class and keeping good behavior for a year. This was a truly AMAZING outcome, especially in our county. Susan achieved the unachievable and I couldn't have been happier with the outcome. Throughout the entire process she went above and beyond to provide me with the best defense I could have asked for and I couldn't be more thankful.

Thank You Susan!! Ms. Fremit did an amazing job of getting me a very fair sentence on my 2nd DUI charge. While I was facing some significant jail time above and beyond the mandatory suspension. She managed to negotiate me down to just 20 days of which I will serve on weekends, thanks to her, I can serve my sentence over the course of 10 weekends which saved me from losing my job. Given the facts surrounding my case, if not for her expert negotiation with the prosecutor, I am more than certain things would have went very bad for me. Unlike the attorney I had for my first DUI, Susan took the time to sit with me and explain the facts of my case and helped me develop a plan to provide for my best defense. By the time I made it to court, I had several professional letters from doctors and other counselors that spoke well of me with well written statements that helped mitigate the circumstances of my offence. While I can promise there will never be a third offence, Ms. Fremit will be the first person I call with any future legal problems. Regardless of the pitch other attorneys make, I would encourage anyone in legal trouble to call Ms. Fremit first. Thanks again Susan for a job very well done.

Susan Fremit is by far the most competent, confident, knowledgable attorney in the area.
