I hired Ms. Caitlyn Stubbs to file for my separation and ultimately the divorce. She was deliberate in her approach and explained that the process may be complex, however, provided a variety of perspectives regarding the challenges we may face. Ms. Stubbs was proficient and always prompt when responding to my requests and ensured we'd get results. In summary, Ms. Stubbs produced solutions and ensured my concerns were professionally addressed. Ms. Stubbs has earned my respect and total confidence and I've asked her to consider representing me on another issue that is not in her area of law. It was truly a pleasure working with Ms. Stubbs and her paralegal Matthew Hall, who was also proficient and professional at all times. I want to personally thank both Caitlyn and Matthew....they are stellar representatives for Livesay & Myers, P.C

Highly Disappointed with Brittany Carper. Our retainer fee was used up all on emails and phone calls. (5k down the drain) We got no results after a few months. We eventually had to seek another attorney to help us. I do recommend Eric Stone Law.

Extremely disappointed and upset with her. She will not speak to me, only speaks through her assistant. I was just informed I have to pick a few days and hours to go see her when it's convient for her. I explained to don't have a car or anyone who can take me and I asked that she come see me or when do it over the phone. That's when her assistant got nasty with me telling me I have to figure it out.

I have a wonderful daughter. She has never had any problems going back and forth between me and her mother. However her mother was only allowing me 2 hours per week on (Sunday) for the first 7 months. I was paying child support before courts had even ordered me to and trying to be as pro active in my daughters life as possible. Again her mother would try and control every situation and deny me from seeing her. Finally I got sick of the situation and filed papers. I had a consultation with Caitlyn Stubbs and she gave me some different options. I had my first court case right after the consultation. I hadn't hired her at that point (HUGE MISTAKE). First off this is my first child and went into court for the custody hearing. I asked the judge if we could go to mediation. He ask the mother of my child what she would like to do. She proceeded with saying she wanted to take care of it that day (after to agreeing with me about mediation). So there I was not represented and not knowing completely what I could do. I ended up not getting what I asked for (since for reason in Stafford the courts don't really help the father much). A couple days later I then had my child support hearing. Again since I didn't get what I asked for with custody I wasn't at the 90 day mark so the mother had "sole custody". That then caused me to have to pay about 700 a month in child support. I pleaded with the judge saying I couldn't afford it I work 60 hours a week as it is. Obviously the judge didn't care. I walked right out of the court room and appealed the case. I went back to Caitlyn and hired her. After hiring her and allowing her to take over my case, it was the best descion I could have made!! We were able to go to "term day" and get my next hearing in circuit court. I just had my hearing I NOW have a little over 50% custody of my beautiful daughter and now pay 200 a month in child support which is a HUGE help. I honestly can't thank Caitlyn Stubbs and Matthew, her paralegal enough. I highly recommend this great team! They kept me up to date on everything I needed to know during the whole process. Please don't hesitate to talk to them because they can do wonders for you as well!!

We just want to express our thanks to Ms. Brittany Carper for a job well done! We just finalized our adoption (through our county) in which Ms. Carper was the Guardian Ad Litem. At all times she was courteous, caring and very confident. We so appreciate that she was able to put our daughter at ease and that she actually looked forward to all interactions with Ms. Carper. In this day and age it was refreshing to find someone who is extremely competent and professional yet has not lost that personal touch! Our family highly recommends Ms. Carper's services!

Ms. Stubbs was very kind, gentle and professional while helping me with my case. She explained things to me the way I could understand them instead of talking over my head during such a difficult process. Her paralegal, Ms. Lloyd was equally as kind and knowledgeable and made a difficult situation seem almost effortless.

I am writing to express the extremely positive experience my husband and I have had working with attorney Brittany Carper. Over the past year and a half, Mrs. Carper has been the Guardian ad Litem (GAL) representing our two foster children. She has been, and continues to be, such a positive influence in the lives of our boys. Mrs. Carper always demonstrates a superb degree of professionalism and conducts herself in an professional and respectful manner. As a GAL she has continuously acted in the best interest of the children, with sincere compassion and exemplary character. It is without reservation that we recommend her to anyone in need of professional counsel.

I highly recommend Goodall, Pelt & Carper, P.C. to anyone who seeks legal assistance! Mrs. Norton is my attorney and she has been very attentive to all of my concerns. Mrs. Norton, as well as all of her associates, have gone above and beyond for my case and I couldn't be more grateful.

My experience with Caitlyn was for an Uncontested Divorce. My spouse and I had seemingly agreed to many items and had drafted our own Property Settlement Agreement. Going through the process with Caitlyn's assistant Nicole ("Nikki") was a nightmare. In the beginning I only had 1 over the phone consultation and spoke with Caitlyn. She gave me great insight into Family Law matters and explained the process of how to file an uncontested divorce. However when I started the process, I mainly dealt with just Nikki. The first issue arose when my spouse emailed me his notarized signed copy of the PSA, and I forwarded it to them. My copy was the original hard copy that was turned in to them in person. It was days before I heard back if they received both and could confirm they were able to move onto the next step. Finally I heard back from Nikki in an email only saying "We have to have the hard copy signed paperwork from your spouse, have him resign and bring it to us". Now if any of you are like me and my spouse- we were not on very good speaking terms. Plus, he is just slow at "getting things done" in general. So it had already taken me 3 weeks to get him to sign the first one, now I had to go back and ask him to find his original paperwork, bring it to me or mail it, or bring it in to them....which I knew he wouldn't bring it to my lawyer so I had to wait for him to give it to me. That set us back another week. Had I known from the beginning, obviously that time would not have been lost. There was no instruction about specifics and what needed to be done in what manner. Just fee agreements and intake paperwork for the firm as a whole. So then the paperwork was all put together and my date to file for divorce based on my 1 yr of separation was 4/29 and the paperwork was filed May 6th. Not too far off, which was pleasing. I knew a case number should be assigned fairly quickly so after a couple days I emailed asking if we had a case number yet. The entire process on avg for an uncontested divorce should have taken 2 months max, by the way. It was then almost another week, going on 2 I believe until I had a response at all from the firm if we had a case number...absurd. Finally the paperwork was mailed out to my spouse. He ended up going out of town on vacation the day his paperwork to be signed came in the mail. So that delayed it another week from him even signing it. At this point my spouse wasn't speaking to me at ALL barely (and we have a minor child so it was very complicated) and he would not answer me after his vacation if he signed his divorce paperwork. So after about 3 weeks of him receiving it, and hearing nothing from him or the attorneys office, I emailed the firm (Nikki) asking if they had received my spouses signed paperwork. Again.....4 days go by and I have no response. None. I sent an email again and needed to set up a consultation for custody court purposes with Caitlyn.....this would have been a 3rd consultation, still had not retained yet. After 4 days of not hearing I sent another email asking for the consult & checking again about status of divorce.....its going on 1.5 months with 3 steps left in the process all about 1.5 weeks long each step....so this uncontested divorce was dragging. I still heard nothing from Nikki- and Caitlyn was always copied & never responded either...finally Nikki called me with an excuse that she was waiting for approval from management for 3rd consult. Meanwhile my spouse still wasn't signing the paperwork and in that phone call Nikki finally told me they didn't get anything. At this point I was furious with the firm and their lack of communication and feeling neglected. I felt like Nikki always ignored my emails and she would lie saying that "she sent me a reply" but I never got anything. I tried 2 times speaking to management and left a message with the manager, Becky, but never heard back from her either. DO NOT USE Caitlyn if she still has Nikki...otherwise Caitlyn was decent.

Caitlyn and her assistant Nikki were terrific. They were there for me when I needed them and always had the answers to my questions. While divorce is never easy it helps when someone is there to help you through the rough spots.
