Alison anders commits legal malpractice and is a professional liar. She refused to take me as a client solely on the basis she thinks I'm too poor. She charged me 450 for a 15 minute consultation where she rudely insinuated I have no right to my son. Shes a professional scam artist that uses her career to steal from people. She should be prison. Alison anders is a fraud. Alison anders is evil.

Effective, Meticulous, Mission oriented, Truthful, Confident, and Lawyer of the Year. Although it's best to start your case here, if you've had other representation, purge your disappointments and ask for Ms. Chaing, Esq. or any of her associates. Outplayed? Family stripped from you? Living on borrowed means? Despairing? I thought my situation to be a losing cause. If results are what you are looking for, this firm will assist you throughout the legal process and back to normalcy. This review is long overdue. Cynthia Chaing and Tammy Womack are a POWER HOUSE Team! As a military service member going through a very awful child support case. Cynthia's team gave me top notch support even through my changing of duty stations. I was truly blown away by the professionalism, accuracy, and honesty they provided. Cynthia and Tammy are truly good human beings. Cynthia doesn't sugar coat information, she is factual, honest, and she holds everyone accountable. The amount of information Cynthia remembers is phenomenal. No one will ever get anything past her. It would be in anyone's best interest to be on her team rather than on the other side. Tammy is the glue that holds all the information together. Tammy's administrative skills are on par, every document, every note, every conversation. Tammy has it, she can pull it up at a drop of a dime! As a single Mother and service member, I don't know how I would have made it without their legal counsel. I truly fell in love with these women. My case was very long and ugly, and WE WON! I'm grateful for that. Cynthia upholds her craft as a lawyer with dignity and respect. She is a dynamite counselor. Sometimes being told the truth about yourself is hard coming from a lawyer. I wouldn't have wanted to hear it from anyone other than Cynthia during this case. I know we all have to pay for legal services, but Cynthia's knowledge, legal expertise, and guidance is invaluable. There isn't even money in the world to pay her for her services. She is committed and loyal. Cynthia  was recommended to me by another service member. I will continue to recommend Cynthia and her team to every Armed Forces member that requires legal services in Family court. Cynthia and Tammy is a one stop shop. If you hire anyone else in Virginia you are wrong. Chaing Anders is where you want to spend your money for Legal services. Hands down they are the best lawyers that are truly in the clients best interest!!!

If I could leave 0 stars I would. I’m sure by now if you’re reading through these reviews you’ve seen the ones mentioning their misconduct, their inability to take any case urgently or seriously, and the fact that they just sit there in the courtroom and do nothing. Please listen to these reviews. I was horribly strung along with false hope and promises. Alexandra Wood would scream at me any time I mentioned her questionable behavior. She had a personal relationship with the judge on my case and would even joke about having my judges son send her (my judge) photos of her grand baby to cheer her up before/during my hearings. It all made me incredibly uncomfortable but I felt as though I couldn’t say something. Alex essentially seen the ways in which I was being abused and manipulated by the opposing party and would piggyback off of that. I was too scared to say anything, too scared to speak up. On several occasions she told me she was representing me pro se and we would work out a payment plan later. When I tried to clarify the details of this she blew up on me and made me feel guilty for her “working for free”. Any discussions had with Alex NEED TO BE DONE IN WRITING. Not over the phone. This is how she gets away with half the misconduct she does. She would refuse to respond to my emails but then call me. Which means no footprint left behind to hold her accountable with. However, if she did her job appropriately from the beginning it would not have gone on as long as it did. The icing on the cake was when she appealed my case, only to not show to the hearing, and then claim she withdrew from my case. I have the documents. This is a lie. She didn’t show while the court and myself were under the impression she was representing me for the matter. If you’re in a high conflict matter - this is not the form for you. They’re irresponsible, aggressive but not in the manner of fighting for you and your case, and truly their motives come abundantly clear after they’ve already drained you of your money. I am appalled that Alexandra Wood has children and is a mother and acted in the manner she did regarding my custody case. Avoid at all costs. Email me and I’ll personally recommend you to several other firms who will actually fight for your and your child’s safety.

Amazing experience! From the first meeting to our last encounter, Cynthia remained not only cool, calm, and collected, but also maintained a high level of professionalism. Every member of her team from Tammy to Lisa has done nothing but individually strive to do what is best for my divorce case. They all were not only extremely knowledgeable (even about military), but very responsive to any and all my questions with my case as well as being compassionate while explaining the technical and legal aspects of my situation. My well-being was definitely sought after and fought for tooth and nail on every occasion. Cynthia and her team were always patient and willing to explain everything down to the last detail. I hired Ms. Chaing for what I thought was a SIMPLE custody case. This was a hard decision as I wanted to navigate the court system on my own. I made the right decision, why chance the most important thing in your lifetime?! You are already up every night stressed, why not have someone in your corner! The case took 8 months due to the multiple hearings and even though it felt like an eternity, it was pushed along quicker due to Ms. Chaing. I did get the outcome that was in the best interest of my son. Custody claims are not easy to navigate, can change quickly and the guardians are too busy to really dig into the details of the cases. I strongly recommend Ms. Chaing, she is responsive, easy to work with, will explain all scenarios and give you a realistic picture of how the case will go. Just provide her with your support and she does the rest!
