It wasn’t explained that the divorce consultation fee ($100) is not refundable when I paid over the phone on 7/20/22. My mother agreed to pay for a divorce attorney for me to get out of my emotionally and physically abusive marriage. I called the office to cancel my appointment on the morning of 7/27/22 and request a refund which was refused. An extremely rude paralegal explained their “standard” practice, which I understood, however when I requested an “exception” I did not need to be talked down to or as if I’m uneducated. My husband left me with nothing and $100 is likely chump change to the people in this office but that is a week’s worth of fuel and groceries for myself and my family. Let me reiterate that my husband left me with NOTHING. I was a stay at homer, per his request, for years. I highly recommend going elsewhere. Attorney James Short in Chesapeake is much more down to earth and his office personnel have desirable, compassionate personalities. There is no fee for a consultation with Mr Short’s team.

I researched several attorneys in the area and spoke to them on the phone. Ms. Montgomery spoke to me like she was knowledgeable in the area of Divorces and was not just trying to get my money. She told me all the steps that were involved in the divorce proceedings and I was updated with each step. I would reccommend Ms. Montgomery and her team if you are interested in a Divorce Attorney.

There are not enough words to express my gratitude for Mr. Kelley and his assistant Jessie. They are so quick and responsive to your needs. My husband was picked up and put in jail for a violation from a DUI and was facing being in jail for a few months till his hearing. Our original lawyer was out of town on vacation. Being pregnant at the time, I was a hot mess to say the least. Mr. Kelley got right on the case immediately. In just a few days, he were able to get the court date moved up and my husband out of jail to get back to work with better terms than expected. They kept in contact with me constantly through the whole process and gave me a very affordable rate. I can’t thank them enough for everything they’ve done, putting up with me and also helping me keep my husbands and my own sanity. Mr. Kelley and Jessie are A+ and I would highly recommend to anyone!

Pat Kelley and Stephanie Montgomery are by far the BEST attorneys in all Hampton Roads, I have hired both of them through the years and my opinion they both can walk on water, if MKM can't fix your issue then NOBODY can. This firm deserves more than a 5 star because 5 stars is just not enough. I have referred plenty of people that i know to this firm and they were more than pleased with the outcome. I recently had to call Stephanie Montgomery for an issue, I left her a voicemail at 730am and she returned my call within 20v minutes and the office was not even open yet, that is AWESOME SERVICE.
