My husband and I found ourselves in an emergency situation in which we needed to file for custody of our grandchildren. It was right in the middle of the holiday season, and nearly every attorney we spoke to could not take our case right away. Several attorneys referred us to Jennifer Slattery, so we met with her at her office in Blaine. It was immediately clear to us that she was very professional, organized, and easy to communicate with. She explained in detail what she would be doing, what the fees would be, and what she would need from us. We were comfortable with her right away. Once she took our case, she was prompt in responding to any questions we had and kept us informed on everything that was happening at all times. She scrambled to get us an order that we needed immediately, and even hand delivered it to the courthouse to get it signed so that we wouldn't be unprotected over an extended weekend. At one point in our case, we almost gave up because we believed that because we were not the children's parents, the courts would automatically rule against us. Ms. Slattery encouraged us not to give up and was in it with us all the way. I honestly felt like she cared about our case and the well being of the children. I can not even explain the relief that I experienced in knowing that she really was serious about our outcome. Custody cases are never fun for anyone, but Ms. Slattery's handling of our case was done with compassion and professionalism. I can not say enough positive about this attorney. I would give her the very highest recommendation.
