Retaining Chuck was the best decision I could have ever made! I was in the process of divorcing my husband, who asked me to proceed with divorce without bringing attorneys into it. I agreed but that changed very quickly once emotions got stirred, domestic violence came about, and my husband fled the state with our son! I instantly contacted an attorney that I work with regularly who handles personal injury cases, and asked him who the best family law attorney is in Thurston County... He told me to go see Chuck! Chuck guided me step by step through everything and made me feel 150% comfortable! I didn't know much about the law when it came to divorce, parenting plans or child support. Having Chuck and his amazing paralegal, Khrys, there to help me was so reassuring. Divorce and creating a parenting plan are never fun nor easy situations, but everything was so smooth with them. Their communication level is astounding... I never once felt like I was left in the dark! They truly care about you, your children and your future. Chuck is exceptional. The communication, keeping me updated and responding, is very quick. His legal assistant, is the best of the best. Chuck can see a course of action within minutes and he follows through and acts on that immediately - with accurate precision and detail. This man knows how to write. I have worked with a couple of other attorney's in my life, and bar none, Chuck sets a very high standard. I would not hesitate for a split-second to hire him again if I needed to.

Chuck represented me in a divorce from my wife - herself a divorce attorney. What I appreciated about Chuck was his knowledge of the law, command of local rules and procedures (the case was filed in Thurston County vs. Pierce County where my wife practiced), and his ability to "ground me" when I was most stressed out. Chuck truly enjoys his work. He believes that parties should be able to work out differences without paying attorneys to do it for them. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. Chuck commanded every court appearance we had and eased me through the entire process. In a divorce, nobody wins but both parties eventually got what they wanted without a lot of "bloodshed".
