David von Beck took a case against my general contractor after the contractor dug my lot too deep and then built my house without proper drainage or a moisture barrier, causing basement flooding only two months after construction was completed. Mr. von Beck's daily dedication, effective and solid research, understanding of detailed Washington construction law, and ability to work with all other attorneys ensured I had the strongest case possible. We settled without having to go to court and I couldn't have been more satisfied with the outcome. Great effort throughout!

We were so happy to find Dave to help us settle our construction defect issue with our builder.. The stress lifted immediately when Dave took over. We certainly wish we could have regained all of our losses, but at least we received about half of our money back, which is much better than we would have done on our own.

Highly Recommend! Responsive, Respected and Relentless sums it up! During a kitchen remodel, we found major water intrusion damage to one of the units of our small, four-unit condominium. When our insurance company denied our claim we hired Levy, von Beck and Comstock to go to battle for us. We worked directly with Dave von Beck. Dave and his firm have years of working with denied insurance claims, real estate, construction defects, and condo law. He's the ultimate expert and he's probably the most responsive and detailed professional I've ever dealt with. If I called, he'd take my call in the middle of a meeting. He answered my emails over the weekend. Everything he said was clear and made sense. He could cite and interpret crucial pieces of information in copious pages of technical engineering reports. He really shepherded us through a process that was far more complicated than we imagined. We were a small informal HOA, with no experience in dealing with anything this serious. His attention never wavered from this project, he was clearly "all in" with us. Additionally Dave has built close relationships with all the key players: He knew our insurance companies lawyer, he already knew and worked with the construction company that we chose to do the repairs. He knew when to call in an engineer and he knew and educated us (along with the excellent Katie Comstock) on condo laws that we were unaware of. He understands and speaks construction at all aspects, practical and legal. He became the hub of information, pulled everything together and kept everything moving forward. Dave is a straight-shooter, ethical and trustworthy while also being persuasive and a real bulldog. And the bottom line: he got our insurance company to pay for both the investigative work and all of the repair! I can't recommend him enough. A life saver!
