After being badly injured in a car accident and suffering many years with chronic pain, I was frustrated and fed up. I felt lost in the process and felt like I would never have my medical bills paid or get my case settled. I felt desperate. Vanessa changed everything. I have never met a friendly person in my life, let alone an attorney. Ms. Vanderbrug is experienced and knows the law like the back of her hand. She is a true advocate for her clients. She is honest, straight-forward, and keeps her clients informed each step of the way. She let me know what to expect in terms of timelines and understand how the process worked. I could not more highly recommend a lawyer.

Vanessa did a good job in representing me in my employment issues case. She was persistent in resolving the matter and was responsive to my concerns and questions. She was able to secure an adequate resolution to my case in mediation. However, 16 months after the conclusion of my legal case it was brought to my attention, by a managing partner in her firm, that my confidential medical information may have been discussed between Vanessa and the managing partner. I had not given Vanessa permission to discuss any of my medical information with any attorney in her firm, especially 16 months after the case had concluded. Vanessa has refused to respond to my requests to find out what really happened. The managing partner has given me two different versions of what happened. I requested that we meet in person, or by phone, to resolve the issue. I even offered to pay or the meeting. Vanessa and the managing partner refused to cooperate. In addition, I was notified by the firm that I am not allowed to contact any attorney in their firm for any legal reason. Essentially I have been banned from the firm and no reason has been given. So, while Vanessa did an adequate job in my legal case, their are now serious doubts as to her professionalism, respect for her clients, confidentiality and experience. If your case does not involve any medical information, or other form of confidential information, then Vanessa is a good attorney to work with. However, if confidentiality is a concern and open lines of communication are a must, I cannot recommend Vanessa Vanderbrug, or the law firm of Hanis Irvine Prothero, your for legal representation.

From the very beginning, Vanessa was quick to respond to my message, was available to meet immediately with me and thoroughly answered all of my questions and concerns. She was professional, extremely detailed and available to answer any questions. I would definitely use her services again and would refer family and friends her way!
