Kate is really the best family lawyer. She is available at a moments notice and works late to get the job done when things come up. She is very reasonable with her rates she charges . She helped me through a very difficult divorce and custody case . I felt very safe with her as my lawyer. I highly recommend her to anyone who needs legal help.

Kate is the best family lawyer I would highly recommend to everyone! While more of the lawyers just recite their retainer and charge you for 1h consultation, she offers free consultation and sliding scale. Her work is the best you could ever pay for, because she is incredibly knowledgeable, very intelligent lawyer,who is determinated to achieve results for you faster that you could pray for. She listens very carefully what you say and gather precisely each detail of the evidence in behalf of you.She helped me to gain primary custody, building up the case for me and my precious 7 years old girl.Her work dedication and the ammont of time she spend in research, communication with all professionals were outstanding! She has been my guardian angel in this nightmarish battle with my ex psychopath husband, who was filing tons of documents agaist me. Kate really is the BEST family law attorney anywhere near Seattle!!! I came to Kate after I was being charged an arm and a leg by my previous Seattle attorney - where I was at 11k charged with him and only at temporary orders. Beware that many of these attorneys are out there!!! Kate agreed to take my case after temporary orders were in place and took a chance on me. I am so grateful that she did! She knows how to handle domestic violence cases and cases where abusers are trying to financially cripple the other party. My case was beyond complex - an interstate case, a custody war in another state, divorce in WA and parenting plan w/ child support being litigated in another state. I was living over 2000 miles away from WA after I fled my abuser ex to protect my children. My ex was trying to drag me and our son back to WA, lying under oath left and right, and ignoring all court orders and wouldn't even show up to court or to contempt of court proceedings! He is probably the most difficult opposing party any attorney has ever had to deal with! Kate took on my case with all of these obstacles and was still able to push my case forward. She brought my abuser ex back into reality real quick!! I would have lost everything and been railroaded by my ex's 10.0 rating attorney if it wasn't for her! I would have been dragged back to WA and my kids and I would be subjected to an abuser! We're now safe and over 2000 miles away & finally in peace! Kate is beyond professional, knows how to communicate, is valued and respected in court, knows how be firm when needed, her letter writing ability is superb, and most importantly she really cares about her clients! She was able to get up to speed on my case in only hours and knew the entire history off the top of her head. I have consulted with and hired at least 5+ family law attorneys in the past and by far she is the BEST! You will not regret hiring her! She is not an attorney that will overcharge you! She is upfront, gets back to you promptly, and she is able to do what other attorneys can't! Do not let Kate's 4 years of experience deter you to thinking that you need someone who has more experience. I'm 100% confident that she can handle any case and has many years of experience dealing with the most difficult ones. Now that my divorce is complete & this nightmare is finally over - I have full custody of my/our son, a supervised parenting plan in place, and even went to trial with Kate and she secured me a divorce settlement that can only be described as AMAZING! Asking Kate Forrest to represent me in a divorce case was one of the best choices I’ve ever made. Family law is notorious for bad attorney-client relationships, but that wasn’t my experience with Kate. At the onset of the case, Kate earned my confidence and trust and set realistic expectations for the outcome by helping me understand that what is fair and what is law are not the same. I cannot say enough about the integrity, ethics, and expert representation provided by Paul Eagle. I came to him for help after my divorce case had been thoroughly blown by several other lawyers. My previous lawyers were no match for the aggressive, abusive and unrelenting filings of my ex. Paul has been able to turn the tide of abuse. His understanding of my very complex case and his professionalism allow us to win each time we go to court. My previous lawyers were all about the next case or the last one, not about my case. a bully, completely a wasgte of my time and oney, i willfile against him i withthe Wa bar Assn for negligence, rent seeking, negligent....did not even bother to read the police report of my wife assaulting me, and subseques ntly i lost my dog, etc...as she hnd her frreinds wrote lies...eagle said shut up, etc.....he ws freally interestee in i in his plans to save me s money, but never ever read anything, ever.....100% pure arrogancde3, proud that he read latin,e tc....i woul djudge him abotu ahalf a start, read my report about him in yelp! Would not trust eagle itself to pick up a six pack of beer on the corner. i will file a complaint withthe Wa Bar Assn about this of dd contracts and how much he missed....he will be spending some time with them, and not at the price of $350/hour, whihc he j loved to slip in when i asked him a question about something else. I looked at on eo fhis statements, and notiv ced $350 for something i asked about.....a power of attorney for health care.....whihc i needed as i am ill.....he had one ready and waiting, b ut inoticed the $350 fee, tucked in there, and asked him? Wha tis this/ Oops, i got one for free at the Plolyclinic......he sure backed off that,fast. When I did can him, he refunded some and said i woul dhav eto wait for the rest....nbot exactly solvent? Not at all.....he leases these offices and can barely make the overhead, maybe business has picked up? I think all the marketing in the world willnot help, Paul. Maybe you should have worked as hard for me as you worked to spend teh cash in advance.....now, you get a real nice review...one that you earned, i had to let him go adfter three months, as i figured out that he did not read anything, he faked it, figured out what it woul d cost me adn then did it by the numbers, never asked what i did for a living, what I wanted, whihc was not about the money 9 for himf, it was all about money, he did not know anything, would not look at evidence.....not interestred, or had his gofer look at it, etc......I do not live in the Seattle area anymore......but don't mind if mr. Eagle wants to get off his backside, which is pretty large, and read this!!!!! Hope, that if he thinks he is an eagle, he doesn't try flying the 33 floors down....as he could hurt someone. Who wrote these "reviews" for him? five stars? He claimed to be in the business for twenty years? How come he discovered the web about seven months ago and suddenly has "all golden five star" reviews. he even "helped grandma" You can read my review on Yelp! he has not figured out that one pay s for placement on google, etc....eh will have to pay more to get rid of this review! Is he carrying liability insurance, he was not when I checked the Wa bar Assn site, as he was too broke! Do a bit o0f research and ask to his his books, frist....think he is too stoney broke to be thinking about you. He was with me, in 2012, before he found a website......all seven months ago? Gimme a break. perfect, honest, OMG.

I was divorced in 2008 only to have to get a protection order shortly after in 2009. This spiraled out of control and I found myself in and out of court fighting contempt motions and other frivolous motions. After several years of abuse, I petitioned the courts for a change in my parenting plan. I was granted an adequate cause hearing and there was a need for a major modification of my parenting plan.
