Very honest person.

I have now used Larry for: 1) Wife's green card 2) Daughters green card 3) Wife's citizenship 4) Legal Advice related to immigration This review is about the legal advise. The daughter got into what I considered a minor legal issue. (underage drinking when she was two months short of 21, after graduating from college) My sister, also a lawyer, said I should check with Larry to see if the issue could impact any future immigration applications. I did and it could, because when you apply for citizenship a question asks if you have every plead guilty to or been convicted of a crime. So now this minor issue is a real pain. We hire a defense attorney and have several calls with Larry and the defense attorney to inform the defense attorney of the immigration implications of the case. Larry provided great information and even the defense attorney praised his knowledge and thoroughness. Larry's fee was a few hundred dollars and well worth it.

Larry is very thorough and precise. He has helped me with the whole process that I had to deal with and made my life much easier. I highly recommend Larry Chin. Thank you so much Larry!

I hired Shaw Law Group working with Bridgett and her partner to gain legal advisement on educational law issues, and I had a similar experience as another person who wrote a review. I spent $400 on tasks I could have completed on my own or had already done on my own. They detailed what they did for the $400 I paid for services, which gave me a few new pieces of information but overall very little that I wouldn't have already discovered on my own. It was only my second time ever needing legal advisement, and it subpar, where I've had much more luck with free legal advisement services and greater care/customer service. It seemed that they lacked the confidence to direct a case or advisement successfully and didn't really want to be involved, but of course, they could accept money. I needed sound navigation advisement, which was not given, only that I was dealing with "good ole boy, good ole girl" education issues. That's not what you pay legal advisement for, especially in a place where it is important to navigate culture and legalities. I received a parking ticket while on a visit to one of their locations, which they paid, likely because they probably already sensed my disappointment in their services. I was appreciative, but it just seemed to reiterate the wasted time and money aspect. I was in email conversations back and forth on topics, but would be pushed off because I had reached a limit to what they could do with what I paid for services. I believe the tasks completed would have been worth no more than $100-200 of their time at best. I would not recommend these lawyers as they seem to lack confidence and sound legal advisement for important situations, especially in areas where you are spending a considerable amount of money on education services where you need answers. Like in a previous review, I'm sharing my experience to help prevent others from spending money on services you don't receive for the money you pay. With a few minutes on the phone in correct advisement, I could have done what they did for me myself. Disappointing.

Larry has been assisting me, my friends and companies I recommended to him on multiple immigration issues, from F-1, H1B, OPT, STEM extension to greencard application. He has always shown patience in listening to the unique circumstances of each case, and provided the most conservative (being conservative with the USCIS is a great thing) and best pathways for each scenario. Immigration issues are painful and arduous processes, where people, including myself, can feel really powerless and hopeless. Larry, with his expertise and patience, is an assuring voice in the sagas and I am glad that I retained him. He is a man of utmost integrity, unlike some immigration attorneys out there. I would highly recommend Larry to anyone needing to go through any kind of legitimate immigration issues.

Bridget was hired as a consulting attorney to determine the best school for my children. She took 9 months to basically do a phone interview with a handful of people, cost me over $3000 to do so , then came out with an opinion anyone could have made reading a parent magazine. My children are both special needs and I really was counting on Bridget to make a well informed, insightful, thorough decision. I am a teacher by profession so when I read her report I was devastated. She did not choose the school I felt and still feel was appropriate for my kids but I could have lived with that if she had really shown she had worked hard to come to her decision. We all really want to have faith in our legal system and rely on people like Bridget to take our cases seriously. When I take my kids to the doctor, have my car fixed, or even send them to school everyday, I trust they are with the best, most professional, hard worhing expert in that field. I am spending time writing this review because I'm hoping to prevent another parent and/or person from this experience. There are so many other attorneys out there who really do care and really will work hard to guide and council.

Larry guided me through the process of getting my Chinese wife a U.S. visa. Hiring him gave me peace of mind knowing that I had all my ducks in a row in terms of knowing what forms needed to be filed, and when. The process turned out taking 20 months, and during that time I had many questions. Larry was always very prompt and thorough answering my emails. He also gave us invaluable advice on how to effectively document our marriage, and what to expect in her visa interview at the U.S. Consulate. Larry is a very experienced and professional immigration lawyer, and hiring him saved me from swimming in a sea of uncertainty. I suppose one could go through this process with no help by searching government websites and the internet for all the proper forms and information. My only comment would be – good luck with that.

I had spent a lot of money with a different lawyer before I was introduced to Larry. The lawyer took my money but never delivered and when the case got too hard he started being rude and was always being negative. I had to drop him fast and count my loses.Larry is different. He is always positive,gives you his undivided attention and is always straight with you. If he can't handle your case he'll let you know before he takes your money.I was introduced to him by a friend whose case was also complicated but she won.I also won my case. I have also referred other friends to him. I will be hiring him in the future and I would definitely recommend him to anyone.

My lawyer acted quickly in finding the best solution for my case. He not only helped with my case but also advised me in how to proceed with my parents and siblings cases.

He was very honest in telling me when there was no possibility in my brothers case. But when there was a way he could help with my other brothers case he immediatley began the necessary process. He was timely and didnt make us take unnecessary movements. My case was solved within 3 months after hiring Larry. He showed up with us to any and all meetings there was to be held and was overall very supportive of our entire family. I will continue to turn to Larry in any and all of my immigration attorney needs, because I know he is a trustworthy and competent person in this field.
