I started my attorney search to do a naturalization application by picking 4-5 attorneys on Avvo. When I met with Larry I knew he was the guy. He spent over 45 unhurried minutes with me explaining everything and strategy, without collecting a single dime or trying to pitch me. When I eventually signed on, he offered a very fair fixed price, which included representation at the interview with CIS. Not only that, Larry even ate the credit card surcharge on the CIS fee, so that I could pay the entire thing by credit card and we would still have a check so I could know when CIS took my money. How many lawyers do you know that extend you credit at the initial consultation!! :) Throughout the process, Larry would always answer email in a reasonable time. Agree with prior reviewer about him being conservative. But I deducted one point on "Knowledgeable" because Larry didn't know about a minor form that could have caused a delay if CIS had asked for it (fortunately they didn't).

I have worked with Larry on two INS (not what they are called any longer but....) cases. At first I was considering doing the paperwork myself then I reviewed the documents and the instructions and was amazed at the complexity of the documents. At this point I visited three lawyers who offered free consults. Larry was very up front and told us everything we needed to do if we wanted to go it alone and even something to watch out for. He offered a fixed price, which I considered very reasonable, to perform fill out all the paperwork and to attend the interview with us. ONE OF THE THINGS HE TOLD US WAS THE COMPLEX INS CASES ARE SOMETIMES THE ONES AFTER A LAWYER OR INDIVIDUAL SUBMITS THE PAPERWORK AND MAKES MISTAKES. IT IS NOT WORTH TAKING THIS RISK, HIRE AN IMIGRATION REPRESENTATIVE AND MAKE SURE IT IS DONE RIGHT THE FIRST TIME. After we gathered all the requested information Larry filled out the documents and submitted them to the INS. He reviewed some information he had about back logs at the INS and provided us with a "best" estimate of when to expect events to happen. We also had several questions about the process and some other "travel" requests that we asked Larry about he took as much time as was required to explain the pro's and con's and made recommendations. I would consider his recommendations VERY GOOD. However, maybe on the conservative side, which in a lawyer is what I want. In the ratings I rated him exellent in all feild but "kept me informed" and this was good. I think this rating is due more to a lack of communications from the INS and not the fault of Larry. However, it seem appropriate to say that sometimes when dealing with the INS you are just waiting for the the next letter telling you what to do. Overall I think Larry is a great immigration representative and I have no hesitation to recommend him to anyone applying to the INS for services.
