Thank you Tim, our family is thankful for you!

My family had be bothered by a legal issue off and on for decades. We went to different law firms in the area and were met with high retainers and opinions that the outcome of the case would be detrimental to our family. When we talked to Black Law, Chris himself talked to the family and laid out his opinion, strategy and cost. His opinion was we had a good chance at a positive outcome, and some chance at an outright dismissal. His retainer was lower than anyone else had quoted. HIs strategy was to work hard and smart and get started on the issue the next day. Which he did! In a matter of days, (not months as quoted elsewhere), he had the total case dismissed in our favor!! His work was right on the mark and immediate. He himself is personal and personable. I can't say enough about his company and how he treats his clients. No promises, but straight talk with detailed strategy and opinion on outcome. Then he executes his strategy and our outcome was the best possible, and much better than expected. I recommend Chris the highest of anyone I would recommend for anything. Especially when it is legal. Great guy and firm.

I am enthusiastically recommending Chris Black. He worked with me over the course of a year while representing a family member of mine on a case that was very complex. In addition to his great skill and knowledge as an attorney, I found him to be unfailingly compassionate and kind, and always calm under very difficult circumstances. Chris goes out of his way to respond quickly to any question or issue. He is a person of high integrity and consistently provides excellent representation from start to finish. I will always be grateful to him.

I hired Timothy Leary (WSBA# 30355) in July 2015 to represent me in a criminal case. This was the WORST DECISION OF MY LIFE, I have regretted it every day since. Sorry this is very long but there is so much wrong with what happened. Do not consider him for representation, you too will regret it. You have been warned. Here is why, - He failed to meet the professional standards of conduct in the following ways: - He was unresponsive to communications sent both over email and over the phone. We had to schedule meetings with him twice (On October 22, 2015 and another time) to address the concerns with his unresponsiveness and not meeting the commitments he made, as well as the total lack of progress with my case. - He delayed the scheduling of the trial in the case 10 times despite my desire to progress with the case. Being charged in this case caused me to lose my job and his further delay caused me to not be able to continue with my life. - He showed up late to almost ALL of the court hearings. - On October 15, 2015 he showed up so late to the hearing that the court wrote a warrant for my arrest since he was not there to announce us as present. (Attorneys you pay should HELP you with your situation, not make it worse) He was unapologetic about these actions. HE CONFIRMED TO ME THAT HE MADE THE REQUEST TO THE POLICE DEPARTMENT but was not able to get any more videos than what had already been provided in the discovery. I later made a public disclosure request to the police department regarding all of the public disclosure requests made regarding the traffic camera videos or the incident and there was no record of a request from Leary! He blatantly lied about his work on my case........ My experience with Timothy Leary was horrible and I would not recommend his services to anyone.

Chris Black did an excellent job for our family. He was fair and diligent and we received a positive outcome for our case.

I came across Tim and his firm from a basic Google search. I lived outside Washington and did not know any lawyers in the state of Washington. I was facing a personally damaging charge that would have affected my reputation in a very negative way and was very concerned about this. I was also concerned about using a lawyer off of a search that I had never met face to face before. My concerns turned out to be unfounded as Tim represented me in an excellent manner. Working with Tim was great. He was responsive to my needs, explained the legal process I was facing in an easy to understand manner, and prepared very diligently for my case. Not only did he win my case, but during the ruling the judge actually commended him on his fine work on my case! I was very impressed. I would definitely recommend Tim to any person looking for a criminal or civil defense attorney in the state of Washington.

I would hire Tim again in a heartbeat, and if history repeats itself I may need to do so. My situation is one that demonstrates what happens when a poor judge is sitting on the bench. There was no evidence of my guilt, and in fact, my neighbor got caught lying in court and the judge did nothing. Instead of making the right decision the judge got angry and punished me for the fiasco my neighbors have caused. Tim looked at my case, looked at the law, saw there was no evidence for the judges decision and won my appeal. Since the Nightmare on the road known as 227th Place SE in Maple Valley continues we anticipate that when the order against our neighbors ends, they will begin their chaos again. I hope I don't need Tim again, but wouldn't hesitate to rehire him.
