I can’t recommend Blake Kremer and his staff enough! From the start, Mr. Kremer and his team were exceptional. They took the time to answer all my questions, no matter how small, and always made sure I felt informed and supported throughout the process. Their persistence and dedication were evident as they fought hard to ensure I was treated fairly. Not only did they achieve a great outcome for my case, but their professionalism and compassion made a stressful situation so much easier to navigate. If you’re looking for a car accident lawyer who truly has your back, this is the team to trust! Blake Kremer and his staff were exactly the right people to help me with my car accident!

I had an outstanding experience working with Ciana on a personal injury matter. Without her expertise, I would have never realized that I even had a case. Ciana’s attention to detail and deep understanding of personal injury law were invaluable. She guided me through every step with professionalism and care, ensuring I understood the process and felt supported. Thanks to her diligence and expertise, what could have been overlooked became a well-handled case. I highly recommend Ciana to anyone needing a knowledgeable and dedicated legal professional. Five stars without a doubt!

First time I felt like someone cared. Took my L&I case and immediately went to work. Got my denial appealed and I expect to get this case resolved soon. Stef is great and keeps me informed every step of the way. I’ve worked 48 years without any claims. I file ONE and L&I immediately denies me. L&I suks, thank God for Palace Law!

Pros
1
Personalized and compassionate service
“Carrie actually met me at my work, saw the physical activity that I do on a daily basis. She spent a significant amount of time asking me about my work duties, hobbies, and home life and how my ability to perform these activities has changed since the accident.”
2
Effective communication and responsiveness
“They have assisted me in understanding the process and have always communicated back to me in a very timely manner when I have contacted them.”
3
Relentless advocacy and fighting for maximum compensation
“She worked relentlessly to get me the most money possible and I ended up with a settlement that was more than double the original offer!”
4
Handling all aspects of the case so client can focus on recovery
“Palace Law took care of everything, after my car accident. All I had to do was treat with my providers and get better.”
5
Empathetic and caring approach
“I never felt lost in the system, which so often happens in dealing with insurance companies.”
Cons
1
Potential lack of transparency and communication in some cases
“Barely got anything for a TBI, but more insulting is the fact I was promised help getting reimbursed for my personal items that were ruined from blood. Sure sure just settle and we will help you, settled and they couldn't bother with me, filing a complaint with the bar.”
2
Concerns about prioritizing profits over client outcomes in some instances
“They know their business. Needs to be more tools for us to use while we are waiting on our case. (Direct deposit change, all material related to the case, check received and for what.)”

Sheri was absolutely awesome. I had a lot of stress going into filing for bankruptcy, but, Sheri helped me feel better about the whole situation and really relieved the stress that had plagued me for so long. Thank you again, Sheri. I recommend her if you are looking to file for bankruptcy - she will get the job done, no doubt.

I am very appreciative of Sheri and her empathetic nature. I called a lot of offices and they are always answered by someone who is not the attorney and not empathetic to my lack of knowledge in the situation that I'm facing. Sheri was a great help she listened to me and gave me advice and pointers on how to proceed. I am definitely hiring her for this (if needed) and other matters that might arise in the future. A sympathetic ear goes a long way and I feel that other Firms and attorneys need to take a page from Sheri.

I initially went to Sheri with the intentions of filing for bankruptcy, after working with her for a while we were able to make a few negotiations with a collection agency and I ended up debt free and totally paid off! Sheri helped me through every step of the way and I never would’ve gotten here without her. Sheri truly is an attorney that cares about her clients and I would recommend her to anyone who is considering filing bankruptcy.

My husband and I hired Charlie to help us with our estate planning. Charlie exceeded our expectations in many ways . He is an excellent communicator with a respectful , approachable style . He took time to carefully answer all of our questions and concerns all for a very reasonable fee. I have already recommended him to several others and will continue to do so.

Our favorite, awesome attorney, Gary Connett, recommended Charlie to advise us in writing a contract. Charlie exceeded expectations. Somehow he was able to take all our competing perspectives to heart and produce a set of legal documents that are serving us well.

  2. How do you charge for your services, and what are the estimated costs?
Understand the fee structure, including hourly rates, flat fees, retainer fees, and any additional expenses.
  3. Who will be handling my case?
Find out if the lawyer will handle your case personally or delegate tasks to other attorneys or paralegals.
  4. What is your approach to resolving cases like mine?
Learn about their strategy, whether they prefer negotiation, mediation, or litigation.
  5. What potential outcomes can I expect?
While no lawyer can guarantee results, they can provide an assessment of possible scenarios based on their experience.

Can a Lawyer Represent Me in Courts Outside of University Place, Washington?

Whether a lawyer can represent you in courts outside of your city or state depends on their licensure and the jurisdiction of the court:

  • Within the Same State:
Lawyers licensed in a particular state can typically practice anywhere within that state, including all cities and counties. They can represent you in both state and federal courts located in that state.
  • Outside of Their Licensed State:
If your case is in a different state, the lawyer must be licensed in that state to represent you. However, there are exceptions:
    • Pro Hac Vice Admission: An out-of-state lawyer can request special permission to represent a client in a specific case in another state. This requires filing a motion with the court and often working in conjunction with a local attorney.
    • Federal Courts: If your case is in federal court, a lawyer licensed in any state may be able to represent you, provided they are admitted to practice in that particular federal court.
  • International Representation:
For cases outside the United States, different rules apply, and the lawyer may need to comply with the foreign country's legal requirements or collaborate with local counsel.

It's important to discuss your specific situation with the lawyer to determine if they can represent you in the desired jurisdiction and what steps may be necessary to do so.

How to Check the Credibility of a Lawyer

Before hiring a lawyer, it's crucial to verify their credibility and ensure they're qualified to handle your case:

  • Verify Their License:
Check with your state's bar association to confirm the lawyer is licensed and in good standing. Most state bar websites have an online directory for this purpose.
  • Experience and Specialization:
Ensure the lawyer specializes in the area of law relevant to your case. Review their website, professional profiles, and case history.
  • Disciplinary Record:
Look up any history of disciplinary actions or complaints through the state bar association's records.
  • Client Reviews and Testimonials:
Read reviews on legal directories like Avvo, Martindale-Hubbell, Google, or Yelp to gauge client satisfaction and experiences.
  • Professional Memberships:
Membership in professional organizations or specialty bar associations can indicate a commitment to their field and adherence to high ethical standards.
  • Awards and Recognitions:
Honors from reputable organizations reflect expertise and a positive reputation in the legal community.
  • Consultation Assessment:
Use the initial consultation to evaluate their communication skills, responsiveness, and willingness to address your concerns.
  • Ask for References:
A credible lawyer should be willing to provide references from past clients who can speak to their abilities and professionalism.

What Should I Prepare for My First Consultation?

To make the most of your initial meeting with a lawyer, come prepared with:

  • Relevant Documents:
Bring all documents related to your case, such as:
    • Contracts or agreements
    • Correspondence (emails, letters, texts)
    • Legal notices or court papers
    • Financial records (if applicable)
    • Evidence (photos, videos, receipts)
  • Written Summary:
Prepare a concise written summary of your situation, including key dates, events, and parties involved. This helps the lawyer quickly understand the context.
  • List of Questions:
Write down any questions you have about your case, the legal process, fees, or the lawyer's experience.
  • Financial Information:
If your case involves financial matters, bring relevant documents like pay stubs, tax returns, bank statements, or invoices.
  • Contact Information:
Provide details of any witnesses or other parties relevant to your case, including their names and contact information.
  • Personal Identification:
Bring a valid photo ID for verification purposes.
  • Pen and Notebook:
Take notes during the consultation to remember important points discussed.
  • Budget Constraints:
Be ready to discuss your budget and any financial limitations so the lawyer can provide appropriate guidance on fees and payment options.
  • Openness and Honesty:
Be prepared to discuss your case candidly. Full disclosure allows the lawyer to give accurate advice and anticipate potential challenges.
