I went to Mr. Melnick with a very difficult case. Ben was very open, honest, and willing to do the hard work. My case got worse as time went on, the law came at me in every way they could. I was very scared, I was going to be convicted of a crime I didn't commit. Mr. Melnick covered every avenue the prosecutor came up with. If it wasn't Mr. Melnick, I would not have had a fair trial. If you need an attorney to dig his feet in and fight for you, Ben Melnick is the attorney on your side.

I was arrested for an apparent DUI after I hit a tree trying to avoid another car. I then failed the field sobriety test due to a medically documented inner-ear problem and seven broken ribs from the crash. After I requested an attorney, Ben was the only one who was willing to help in the middle of the night. He encouraged me not to give up and walked me through every step of the process while patiently answering any questions I had. He was perfectly willing to take time out of his day to alleviate any concerns I may have had; whether by phone, text or email he kept open lines of prompt communication available. I never felt anything less than confident and knowledgeable with Ben by my side throughout the entire process. Thanks to his knowledge, expertise, caring and professionalism my case was unanimously resolved in my favor and justice was served. Scott Edwards represented me against my insurance company after being in a car on bike accident. I suffered substantial injuries that my insurance company grossly minimized. What they initially offered to settle would not have covered my expenses. Scott substantiated my claim and convinced my insurance company to cover my losses. I particularly appreciate Scott's help in my efforts to honestly and openly build my case and in being thorough and thoughtful. Because of his great work my insurance company settled before arbitration. Thanks Scott!! I was somewhat reluctant to retain a lawyer to battle with my insurance company but not anymore. I have a better understanding of how really difficult it is to take on even a good insurance company on your own. I am glad i didn't and certainly wouldn't if this happened again.

Mr. Melnick was extremely professional, very attentive to details, thorough in his investigative techniques, and provided timely advice, and always provided clear options. Mr. Melnick extremely knowledgeable about the law, the intricacies, and had a very personable communication style that always put me at ease, even in my most anxious moments. Ben is a smart young attorney that will do great things in his career. He was extremely responsive through phone calls, email and text messaging. When I text him, he would always answer. He kept me calm through the preliminary court stuff. He was informative about my choices and didn't push to be settle for less than I wanted. When I decided I wanted to go through a jury trial for my case, he was excited and did a great job. He is just competitive enough to push people but not so competitive to piss people off. I won my case and would highly recommend him to people.

Schauermann Thayer Jacobs Staples & Edwards PS are in my opinion the best, they made us feel more like family and not just another client. I would highly recommend Ben Melnick as a defense attorney. Ben always kept me informed and up to date during my case. Ben successfully defended me in my case. I was involved in an accident on my motorcycle where a car pulled out in front of me causing me to Tbone the car that had pulled out in front of me when I had right of way. I blacked out at the scene due to my extensive injuries and was later rushed to the hospital. The City Prosecutor charged me 5 months later with a DUI alcohol/marijuana combined based on a warrant they obtained from a Judge to take my blood the night of the accident. This even though I had not smoked/used any Marijuana that day and had very little alcohol in my blood...well under the limit. With Ben's knowledge of case law he was able to argue successfully that the details of my case showed that the police never had probable cause to get a warrant in the first place and my case was dismissed by the Judge at my trial. Ben is a true professional and I would certainly recommend his services anytime.

I very rarely post reviews, and have never posted one for an attorney before. But in this case, one is definitely warranted. I will preface my review by saying that I was a legal secretary for over a decade , so have some experience with dealing with attorneys. I was in an accident in Washington State in 2012, and quickly came to realize that I was going to need an attorney to represent me. I was fortunate enough to have been recommended to Scott Staples by my chiropractor. Due to injuries from a prior accident, my case was a relatively complicated one, but Scott handled it with aplomb, courtesy, respect, and always, always, treated me with kindness, compassion, and care. He and his staff went above and beyond anything any attorney or law firm has ever done in my knowledge, or my years of working for them. It was only through their diligence and hard work, their intelligence and knowledge of the law, that I was ultimately successful. If you have a need for an attorney, for any reason whatsoever, I would highly recommend them. Not only do they work hard, they are kind, fair, and, they are honest. That is something that is extremely hard to come by in an attorney. You cannot go wrong with this law firm.

Craig Schauermann and his firm are the best of the best in the business. My case was extremely complicated, and before Craig, I had worked with a total of 3 attorneys prior to his firm (more on that later)! Thankfully, Craig and his team of attorneys ended up rescuing me, and my case! My 3rd attorney felt he needed to utilize Craig's expertise in "under insured motorist case law" in order to win the case and get a fair settlement for me, and this is how we were introduced - I got lucky! After a few months, Craig ended up taking the lead on my entire case. Honestly, I had some reservations about this based on the prior bad experience I had with the two proceeding attorneys on my case, who (supposedly) were also highly rated attorneys - yet THEY ended up "quitting" after about 6 months, once they discovered what a legally and medically complex case it was! Unlike Craig, those other attorneys were unwilling to put in the time and research needed to handle my case, which showed me they cared much more about making a “quick buck” for the least amount of time vs getting justice for a client they legally agreed to take on. Soon after working with Craig, I learned I no longer needed to be concerned, as I was in excellent hands by a top notch AND caring attorney! He put me FIRST, and did "whatever it took" to do the right thing for me and my case. Craig also had one of his partners, Scott Staples join the “team” to take on the insurers. Craig and Scott worked long and hard on my case, and it did last several years (note: I had 2 neck surgeries during this time due to the accident, and there were some significant legal complexities still being sorted out about the accident due to the 3 cars involved, even though all agreed I was 100% not at fault since I was hit head on and then rear ended). I feel fortunate to have been able to work with such amazingly knowledgeable, talented, caring, and ethical attorneys - who would fight the case to the end no matter how long it took! They definitely could be “pit bulls” (which I witnessed on multiple occasions!), yet caring and empathetic with their clients such as myself. In summary, both Craig and Scott are extremely "justice" driven, and work extremely hard to do whatever it takes to make their clients happy. They are MASTERS of the law and their profession, and they thrive with very difficult cases (and seem to love the challenge actually). That’s in contrast to the other attorneys I dealt with who seemed to begin ducking for cover when they discovered how hard of case it really was. :( That was their mistake, as patience and exemplary professional skills from Craig and Scott, ended up yielding a very good and fair settlement. I have no regrets what so ever I went with the "Schauermann Thayer Jacobs Staples & Edwards" law firm, and my guess is others will feel the same if they give them a call for a consult.
