I wholeheartedly recommend Ben Melnick for any type of DUI case. The night I was arrested for DUI, I was panicking and called through the list of attorney names that were provided at the police station. Luckily, I was able to get a hold of Ben, and he was instantly helpful in providing advice on what I should and should do or say that night. Subsequently, I did a review of the DUI attorneys in the Vancouver area to select the lawyer I would use throughout my process. Although Ben has been licensed for only a short time, I was very impressed with his breadth of knowledge and acumen. Interestingly, as I interviewed other attorneys on the phone, two of them asked who else I was talking to. I mentioned Ben's name among others, and they said very positive things about him--even as they were competing for my business. Ben left no stone unturned as he examined the police report, the evidence, and the test results. He was able to get my administrative suspension (DOL) thrown out because the test was not performed precisely per WA state law. He interviewed the police officer during discovery and thoroughly evaluated the interview with the written report. He even went out the actual arrest location to gather information about the evening of my arrest. Throughout my ordeal, Ben was extremely helpful, compassionate, respectful, and knowledgeable. He treated me with dignity and helped me maintain positive focus when I was feeling overwhelmed and depressed, and very embarrassed. He always gave me balanced, informed advice, and helped me think through my options at every step. Ben was also very responsive and available. He took numerous calls from me to talk through the complexities of my case, was patient when I asked him the same question several times to truly understand the answer, and he provided me his cell phone number so I could text him anytime--day or night. I've worked with attorneys before who are very difficult to reach and may not respond for days, sometimes. Ben was always willing to respond to my questions and texts....truly admirable. Overall, I am deeply appreciative to Ben for his help and assistance through the entire process. I recommend him without hesitation, and would select him over attorneys with many years of experience.

After being arrested for a DUI, I was scared and embarrassed. Ben was professional, helpful, and never judgmental. Even when I thought I should give up on the case and take the charges given, Ben encouraged me to stay the course and allow him to handle the negotiations with the prosecuting attorney. Ultimately, the DUI charge (with a BAC over 0.15) was reduced to a reckless driving charge saving me money and preventing me from having a restricted license for 12 months. Ben is knowledgeable about the process and very helpful in all steps of navigating through a DUI charge. I highly recommend contacting Ben immediately if you are charged with a DUI, even if you think your case can't be redeemed.

I don't often post reviews but I felt this warranted one! I was in an auto accident with my three young children and was referred by our chiropractor to Scott Staples for an Attorney to represent me and help settle the auto claim. I have never had a lawyer before and was uncertain whether it was necessary to have one and whether it would be worth it in the end. I did call a few other attorney's and just got a bad feeling when talking to them. When I contacted Scott immediately it was a different feeling altogether. I still wasn't entirely sure but let me tell you I was thankful over and over again that I did go this route. There were complications with the medical bills getting paid by my auto insurance and Scott's office was able to call and handle all the different things that would have meant alot of time on the phone for me and because they understood the process were able to work more effectively with both the insurance company and medical providers. This was a nightmare for me that I did not have to deal with on top of getting me and my three kids to appointments etc. It was a long process but at no point did I feel shuffled to the bottom Scott was on top of everything and was very responsive to all my questions or concerns. I can't say enough of what a wonderful experience it was I would highly recommend him to anyone reading this. Scott was a wonderful person to work with and has exceptional integrity. I also through other parties during the process received positive comments as to the firms credibility and good report which reaffirmed that I had made a good choice.
