Tonilynn is no nonsense and a straight shooter. She will tell you honestly and concisely what to expect when it comes to your situation. She will fight for what is fair for you and your family, and try to resolve things quickly. She is upfront about costs and keeps expenses in mind when offering options for resolving your case. Tonilynn is incredibly intelligent and extremely knowledgeable. She is also extremely ethical, realistic, consistent, and reasonable, which is exactly what you need in a family lawyer. She does not hesitate to stand up to the “good old boys,” who are sometimes allowed to run roughshod over standard court proceedings and who also do not seem to hesitate to push the boundaries of acceptable legal conduct. In a court system that can often be inherently misogynistic, having an advocate like Tonilynn on your side is invaluable. I only wish that her office had the capacity for a larger client load that would allow her to continue to serve Kittitas County. I understand why she and her staff are so busy— they are simply the best family law practice in Central Washington and there is a shortage of competent, much less excellent, laywers. Although it would have been helpful, at times, to have more individualized attention, more explanation of some parts of the process, and more communication, I have no regrets in my choice of representation and am incredibly grateful that she was able to take our case at all. When I was represented by someone else, the case dragged on for years, costing an exorbitant amount. My ex partner’s lawyer is high conflict and seemed to be motivated by maximizing billable hours, dragging things out, and making things as nasty and vindictive as possible. My ex partner’s counsel also consistently ignored what should be everyone’s main priority: the welfare of any dependents caught up in the fray. Tonilynn never lost sight of that goal. Tonilynn was very helpful when it came to helping me make the best decisions and stay on track in an incredibly contentious and highly emotional situation. It would have been easy for me to continue to stay caught up in the conflict, but she was focused on helping us reach the best outcome for everyone, despite the ugly realities of the messy situation at hand. Tonilynn and her staff were able to resolve a complicated matter in a short time, for a reasonable fee. I cannot recommend her highly enough. I wish I had found her when my case started four years ago, as it would have saved so much time and money, and prevented so much fear and stress. She is absolutely the best option available for for assistance if you find yourself needing help with a family law matter, especially if there is high conflict, DV, or special circumstances.
