Great Lawfirm, and amazing staff.

Michelle did such an amazing job advocating for me regarding my concerns. As a newly single dad, I was honestly very afraid of the process and what it might mean for my kids and I. She calmed me down very quickly at our first meeting, and continued to do so throughout the case. Michelle was very easy to communicate with, and very clearly defined what I needed to do. I could not be happier with my decision to hire her, or the results of our case. Thank you so much!

After 8.5 years, I was required to get an Attorney and I was terrified about the situation. I didn't even know where to begin in finding a family court Attorney so I googled for local Attorneys and Michelle Achterberg appeared. I read reviews (on this website) and took the plunge. I couldn't be happier with not only my final result, but the professionalism and approach she took with my case. She was straight forward and realistic with me. She explained what we could and couldn't do and what rights we had backing us statutorily. We took the ball and kept it in our court and were prepared to press harder if needed. Thankfully, in my situation, we didn't need to, and it concluded very quickly. I was lucky in this regard. If necessary, I would have continued to use Attorney Achterberg throughout my case. I can't agree more with every positive comment mentioned about her and Malori. She was fair in pricing and I felt like she made my case a priority. She was timely with everything we needed to do, whether it be contacting the other Attorney, filing paperwork with the Court, or writing up our own proposals. I always felt welcomed to contact her with questions, concerns, or ideas, and she responded very quickly. Our conversations were not rushed and I never felt like I was competing for time on my case. I felt as though she recognized every conversation, every minute, was important to me and my case and she respected this. I'm hopeful I won't need to hire anybody in the future, but if I do, I will absolutely return to this office and I can't speak highly enough of this experience. Do yourself a favor, and hire her immediately!

Michelle and Malori did a fantastic job working to represent me in my divorce case. Thomas was very responsive and empathetic while answering some confusing legal questions I had. He really looked at all sides of the equation and lead me down the path that seemed the most fair to everyone involved. I have a clear plan on what my next steps are and I have Burton Law to thank for that.

Thomas was great to work with! I came to him a little over my head in technical jargon (thanks to trying to google my way through it) when it came to creating some estate planning for an S-corporation. He laid out our options in a way that I clearly understood and he drafted the document in a timely manner--which was important to us. We will definitely be working with him again.
