My case was an ERISA (short term/long term disability) based claim against a worldwide shipping company who has a their own in-house legal team. This wasn't something I could have possibly navigated on my own so I contacted a well known firm that comes highly recommended by attorneys outside of their own. I retained Timothy Maynard with the firm of Hawks Quindel, S.C. and have to say that although the process by nature took quite awhile from filing to a resolution, I will never second guess that decision. Tim kept in contact the entire time and although it wasn't his job to keep my spirits up, he was empathic and reassuring without making any unrealistic promises or expectations. The case was lengthy and complex with many moving parts. Tim brought all of this together and drafted an impressive and accurate complaint on my behalf. This wasn't a radio commercial scenario where you are baited in by a multi-million dollar promise but I can tell you that it felt like I was being represented by an Attorney that was fully competent to win such a case. I worked with Martha and Summer. But ultimately Martha. I felt like the consultation was NOT worth the price. I did not get anything out of the consultation, that I did not already know. I also was never clearly told whether I have a case. I was simply told that the company cannot take my case nor can they represent me in any proceedings. I also beleive that Martha was not empathetic in her responses.

I was referred to Hawks Quindel, and specifically Summer Murshid, by a highly respected attorney from another large law firm that told me he was was impressed with Summer's work on the other side of the aisle. Summer's professionalism and experience exceeded my expectations. She is insightful, intuitive, and detail-minded which helped to achieve maximum results. She is approachable, yet direct, and very effective with her communication making the entire process efficient with no wasted time or expense. I would recommend Summer to anyone looking for a professional and experienced legal advocate.

As a result of a separation from my previous employer, and discriminatory questions that came into play, I retained Ms. Summer Murshid to work with the company’s legal council. I had filed a long term disability claim under a policy I had for hip arthritis which was denied. I then engaged the services of attorney Tim Maynard to help me with my appeal, and even though he wrote an excellent letter on my behalf for this the appeal was also denied. He then began to try to negotiate a settlement with my insurance company’s attorneys on my behalf. I was very pleased not just that he was able to negotiate a favorable settlement for me (especially after 2 denials) but—from the start of his involvement with my claim—also with his professionalism and communication so that it was very clear to me what was going on each step of the way. Even though from his openness and honest communication with me it was clear that the outcome was far from certain but that he also felt that they would hopefully settle and that it would not be advantageous to involve litigation. His manner inspired confidence and in the end he was right about everything and which I owe also in no small part to his experience and negotiating skills. Overall I felt he did an excellent job for me and would recommend him for anyone needing an attorney for help with a long term disability claim (and I certainly would not hesitate to use him again if a similar situation were ever to arise for me again).

Very disappointed in this firm. Gregory did not return my call when he said he would. I even waited an extra week. Then when he did call, after I sent the initial documents, he told me that the "litigation schedule" was too full and his firm wouldn't be able to assist me. In our initial consultation there was nothing mentioned about an overloaded schedule. I can only assume that there was not enough of a potential profit in taking my case, and that was the real reason that they were not able to help me. Gregory could have been honest in stating this, but chose not to be. I cannot stand dishonesty. I would not recommend this firm for their lack of perceived integrity.
