Hello Bob. I'm not here to write a bad review. I do hope the Lord gives you peace for whatever struggles you're going through right now so you can pick yourself back up and represent people how you want to truly represent them. I wish you well, I hope you do not let the world get you down. I pray for you to find peace.

DO NOT WORK WITH THIS FIRM. Terrible person, completely arrogant and unprofessional. I called on behalf of my brother to see if he could help with a situation since he represented him a few years ago. Bob sounded annoyed, scoffed often, and talked to me like I was a child. My brother's girlfriend had called him earlier and apparently he yelled at her over the same issue. I understand Bob may not have been able to help (or may not have wanted to), but his attitude and disrespect was out of line for people who are in a bad situation needing help and advice with an incarcerated family member.

Bob represented me in March of 2024. He was straight forward with me. Everything went just as Bob said.

Megan was highly recommended to me from a community business leader as I began searching for legal help to pursue child placement/custody changes in 2022. From the moment I reached out for a consultation I was treated respectfully and kindly by everyone at Richter & Philips LLP. I hired Ashley to help with my pre-nuptial agreement and I have to say, Ashley did an amazing job looking out for my best interest. She was very thorough and detail-oriented. She helped me understand the entire process and ensured that I completely understood all verbiage, potential future scenarios, and documents. Overall, I'm very happy Ashley was my lawyer. She's friendly, intelligent, and I felt safe in her hands.

I was arrested for a OWI, and when shopping for a lawyer I went with Bob Hurley. He wasn't the first name that came up, nor was he the cheapest option, but he talked a good game, was very forthright with my options, and had a very no-nonsense attitude. It took nearly two years for my case to cycle through the legal system, but Bob stayed with me until the end. He was able to discern from the evidence provided that the arresting officer didn't have probable cause, and after review, the state agreed and dismissed the charges. Bob was worth so much more than what I paid him, and I would recommend him to anyone who needs solid representation in court.

High quality work at a reasonable cost. Showed compassion, intelligence, perceptiveness, and fortitude.

BEWARE QUACK ATTORNEY My statement below is my opinion. Allegedly, He says all the right things initially before you sign the contract. I hired him for a criminal defense attorney. He will sell you to the prosecutor and never do what you want for the case. Please don’t have a different opinion than him because he will yell , over talk and become verbally abusive towards you. Believe the comments above that he is a LIAR. I met some liars in my time but Bob is currently sitting at #1 in my top five. He doesn’t have a paralegal so trust he is never fully reading anyone’s dispositions. All he cares about is getting your money. You are better off with a public defender than this quack. He’s literally a defense attorney and prosecutor all in one. In my opinion, he is working with the prosecutor office, maybe they have him on retainer. It’s disgusting that he is allowed to even hold an attorney’s license. All other attorneys in Dane County says stay away from this guy. I wish I would have known that prior to retaining him. You have been warned.

Honestly, I wouldn’t recommend him. Initially, he was informative but soon after he received my money the communication was minimal. I had to chase him for answers, judgements, many times calling 2-3 times. He was full of excuses. I found him to be condescending, belittling and just not great to work with. His approach isn’t light. And the fact that he put my personal information out on a review speaks volumes.

Bob was amazing! When I contacted him about a traffic citation, he was upfront about the process and how it might play out. He was honest about expectations, and kept me in the loop every step of the way. Bob was great all the way around!
