My divorce was final years ago but there were lingering issues with child support as our children are getting older. I wasn't sure I would even need an attorney but I wanted to make sure I was filing the right paperwork and looking out for my best interests. Emily spent extended time with me on the phone, making sure she understood my situation. She asked the right questions and provided great information. When we met, she took time to thoroughly explain my options. She even clarified the original agreement that I thought I understood, but alas, was wrong. I left her office and for the first time in this decade long process, I felt confident and empowered by the information and my next steps. She followed up with the order, which I filed and I am now in a much better situation.

I would highly recommend Emily to anyone going through a divorce, whether they have kids or not (I do). She is very savvy in both matters of family as well as finance, and does a great job keeping things civil and professional while still feeling like a personal friend through the process. Divorce isn't easy, but she made it a lot easier for me and was worth every penny. She's as kind as she is professional.

My wife and I hired Emily to help us with a restraining order against my wife's stalker. She made an incredibly stressful situation much easier to handle. She found a lot of information that I'd have never found on my own, and when we actually reached the hearing, she was brilliant; thorough in her examinations and instantly on top of objections. She was consummately professional, even though the opposing counsel was rude and condesending towards her. I felt like we got an absolute rockstar of an attorney. Additionally, the supporting staff there was fantastic as well. Her PI was dogged in his attempts to serve the respondent and the crew at her office had our documents uploaded on our client page with incredibly alacrity. It was obvious to me that Emily cared about our case and about my wife. She went above and beyond and I would unreservedly recommend her to anyone.

I hired Emily for my divorce in July 2017, which was finalized in November 2017. At the outset, I was confident that an agreement I had drafted myself and my ex-husband agreed to was in everyone's best interests. I was very emotional at the time and just wanted the whole process to be over as quickly as possible, and I didn't realize I was not acting in my own best interests. Emily was persistent in helping me understand my rights so I could make informed, non-emotional decisions. The result was an entirely new detailed agreement that put me in a better position financially but that I feel is fair to my ex-husband as well. Emily gave me the support I needed to stand up for myself and ask for what I deserved. She is also very thorough, organized, and responded quickly and knowledgeably to my many questions throughout the process.

Emily represented me in a straight-forward divorce. She was very easy to talk to and was able to answer all of my questions quickly. She was also very easy to get a hold of. I was also presented with a lot more options than I thought I would have. She is always well prepared and I highly recommend her.

David and his staff did a great job with my divorce. With his support, I now get to see my kids most of the time.

I have no idea who these are other reviewers are talking about. Emily has an extremely passive approach towards custody placement disagreements. She made very poor decisions/recommendations for filings that my kids and I are still paying for. During my initial consultation, I left feeling very hopefully that she could help me. But it was apparent fairly quickly she was not up to the challenge. Luckily after going through that awful experience, I interviewed 5 different lawyers and found one that is helping me unwind the damage she and David did. During the interview process, the other lawyers offered other strategies I never knew existed or heard about once from her/David. If you have an extremely simple case where both sides are reasonable she would probably do fine (but who wouldn’t). I can’t recommend enough that you do your homework and avoid this law group.
