Attorney Michael Hayes has represented me multiple times, and I cannot speak highly enough of him. Recently, he represented me on an OWI case in a tough county where the prosecutor was also going to charge me with a misdemeanor for obstruction. As my first criminal offense, I was terrified. I got arrested for OWI in South Milwaukee in 2022, it was the third offense. I’ve never needed to hire an attorney before, so I was pretty lost and worried, and didn’t know what to do. I asked my mom to look for a lawyer, she called one in Madison, who gave her a list of 3 who worked in Milwaukee who were highly recommended. Michael was on the top of the list, so I called him and he was quick to get to work on my case, and instructed me clearly on everything I needed to do so I could get the best possible outcome before sentencing. He was easy to get ahold of, always quick to respond, and answered any questions I had, walking me through the whole process. Because of him, we were able to get the whole court process concluded in about 5 months (which is quick), and we did get the best possible outcome. I received a 3 month sentence when I was facing a maximum of 12 months, and got the minimum fine of $600 (maximum was $2000). Michael also helped me transfer the sentence to the county where I live and work, and be put on an electronic monitoring ankle bracelet and continue working through Huber work release. Having never needed an attorney before, I was afraid it was going to cost me like $10,000 or more. His fees ended up being less than half of that; totally reasonable, especially given the outcome. I’m extremely lucky my mom was able to find him, and grateful for everything that he did for me, allowing me to leave this ugly chapter in my life behind and move forward. Also, after sentencing, he was even nice enough to help navigate my parents, who are not familiar with Milwaukee (nor good with directions or GPS), out of downtown, leading them to the interstate with his vehicle. And my mom is now his friend.

Attorney Hayes kept me up to date with everything I needed to have done before my court case, making this a walk in the park for me. He got me the best deal possible, despite the city of Milwaukee pushing for the maximum punishment, I served NO jail time and was out on electronic monitoring the same day I had to turn myself into the house of correction. If he doesn't understand something he'll honestly let you know and ask you to give him time to research a answer for you. A lawyer with passion such as Michael Hayes, is definitely a lawyer you want to have working for you. I am extraordinarily happy I was a client of Michael Hayes. My case is finally complete and is now a masterpiece among all the other masterpieces he has done before mine. I would give it a negative one but it would be removed . Most of the reviews are fake. Michael Hayes not only abandoned me at trial as soon as I made my last payment. I got limited service at best. If you want to be milked out of your money, and led in to taking a plea. He's your man. I hired him for a case I ended up winning myself without a lawyer.

I cannot thank Attorney Hayes enough! I retained Mr. Hayes for an OWI charge (along with other related charges) because I did not know what to do or what to expect. Handling a situation like this is very serious and I knew I needed help. Attorney Hayes was awesome and advised me of the entire process and possibilities. As it turns out a conviction for a refusal is even worse than the OWI charge. When I met with Mr. Hayes, he advised me that there was a strong probability that he could have the refusal dismissed. We had a hearing in September 2022. Mr. Hayes presented a motion and the judge dismissed the refusal! This eliminated a one year revocation, the SR22 requirement (which is a high risk insurance - very costly) for 3 years and the 30 day wait for my occupational license. Attorney Hayes did a great job and I would highly recommend him for an OWI situation!

He filed a motion challenging the right of the West Allis police department to arrest me. He and his assistant Sarah Wheatley prepared a great motion supported by audio/video evidence showing that two officers illegally entered my residence and subsequently arrested me for drunk driving. The charge of refusing to submit to a blood draw was also dismissed. No conviction will appear on my driving record, I won’t serve any jail time, I won’t have my license suspended or revoked, I won’t be under the Ignition Interlock requirement and I won’t have to pay a fine. He's a really good lawyer. He's great on communication. He's always available to talk to me and my father. He accurately predicted what would occur. I highly recommend Attorney Mike Hayes. I think he is the best DUI Milwaukee lawyer.

Thank you Michael Hayes! 1st DUI offense causing me to hit a parked car and an apartment building. I unfortunately left the scene of the accident because of my PTSD. I was a few blocks away when the police arrested me. I blew a .16 and thought for sure I would need to install an ignition interlock device which would have been very costly. Michael was very knowledgeable and understanding. He was able to avoid the interlock device for me and also had one of the tickets dismissed. He saved my CDL and kept me out of prison after my January 2021 arrest for fifth offense OWI. I have my LIFE BACK! Thank you to Attorney Michael Hayes for getting my 7th offense OWI dismissed in September 2021. In 2017 I was arrested for operating under the influence of my prescription medication. The state troopers looked at my prior convictions but not at the roadside situation & facts. Mr. Hayes proved to the Judge and DA that I was in fact not impaired. Now that this looming cloud of dread has been lifted, I can finally live my life and move forward. My gratitude to Attorney Michael Hayes is enormous, words can’t fully express. Mr. Hayes and I put in years of hard work challenging every, I mean every, aspect of the seventh offense OWI case against me. His cross examination of the trooper who stopped and arrested me was in fact like you see in the movies as he broke down every, not just one, but every statement the arresting officer made and proved it all to be false. Attorney Hayes uncovered and then highlighted every fact that supported my innocence, and from the start of the case he firmly believed in my innocence. He kept telling me that if we can show the Judge the unfairness of the arrest, the Judge would rule in our favor and dismiss the case. When the Judge said the trooper didn’t have the right to arrest me, the DA moved to dismiss the OWI 7th. This was one of the happiest days of my life. I’m not sure anyone would’ve ever fully believed I was innocent if Mr. Hayes wasn’t there to prove it as it was my word against the police til he took my case.
