Thelen & Associates is hands down the best family law firm in the area. From the moment you walk into their gorgeous (and comforting) office space until the day you receive your final divorce decree the entire staff is amazing. Every single person who works at this firm cares about the clients and their needs. Kris and her team worked so hard for my daughter and me throughout my divorce. Anyone that’s been there, knows that when going through a tough divorce, you have ugly moments. Even then, this team never let us down! Even with countless curveballs being thrown our way. Following an exhausting divorce, they stood by us when my ex husband tried to rearrange things years later (and eventually helped us finalize my new husband’s adoption of our daughter). PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE STAY AWAY!!! I wish I could give less than 1 star. She cost a lot of money and then when it was time for court, she had her daughter show up and wouldn't talk and just got run over....her actions cost me over $30k in unfair child support DURING the divorce process and the $10k I paid her to take the other side and not help me.

I would highly recommend using someone else she will just waste you time. And monsy. Very unprofessional and afraid to go infront of the judge. When we were in negotiations it felt like she was on the opposing side.

Please, please, please do not use Kris Thelen as an attorney or GAL in any instance. She is overpriced, incompetent, and only cares about her own track record (I.e. closing cases). She bullies the social workers so that they agree with her. I usually don’t give reviews on services, but I am compelled to do so in this instance, so I can help others. If she is recommended to you by the court, fight tooth and nail for someone else.
